I learned on Sunday that my babies umbilical cord is around his neck (26 weeks pregnant) and I’m scared about potential risks. I’ve been sick about it for days.
My daughter had her cord around her neck. Didn’t know until she was born. I wouldn’t worry too much. The cord can come off of their neck still. But they didn’t tell me while I was in labor, but I had to have an oxygen mask on because every time I was pushing, I think her heart rate was dropping. I’m not sure, they don’t tell you that stuff in labor so you don’t stress. But she came out, the doctor slipped the cord off and she was as healthy as can be. The cord being around the neck isn’t as crazy as it use to be. Doctors use to think you always had to do a csection but doctors have come a long way and you and your baby will be okay 💖
@mikidsfirst, they said there’s nothing they can do about it right now. I have an appointment June 5th and they’re going to check on things. His heart rates good and I’ve been counting movements but it’s still terrifying
Awwww. Don’t stress mama. Let the doctors monitor it. At least you know in advance and they can watch for it and make a plan. It is pretty common. My youngest was born with the cord around his neck and body. We didn’t know until he was born. Prayers everything will be ok.
