I learned on Sunday that my babies umbilical cord is around his neck (26 weeks pregnant) and I’m scared about potential risks. I’ve been sick about it for days.
@shelby.wrightx3 100% perfect she was born perfectly healthy
@newlyironman, oh wow! And everything ended up being ok?
@shelby.wrightx3 naturally. Didn't find out until she came out
I’m sorry I’ll keep you and your baby in my prayers
@mikidsfirst, they said there’s nothing they can do about it right now. I have an appointment June 5th and they’re going to check on things. His heart rates good and I’ve been counting movements but it’s still terrifying
@bigmama18, that makes me feel a little better. I’ve never even heard of such a thing and it’s my first pregnancy so everything’s new to me.
Wow soo sorry to hear this is their anything the doctor's can do about it.
Awwww. Don’t stress mama. Let the doctors monitor it. At least you know in advance and they can watch for it and make a plan. It is pretty common. My youngest was born with the cord around his neck and body. We didn’t know until he was born. Prayers everything will be ok.

the amount of women who are clueless about their own anatomy is so sad and shocking. a lot of the women are older than me and have more children then I do 😳
now I understand that everyone has their own opinion on the topic and grown adults can do whatever they want with their bodies but to deny facts and make up false statements about your own anatomy when it comes to your unborn child is just so disappointing.

My daughter had her cord around her neck. Didn’t know until she was born. I wouldn’t worry too much. The cord can come off of their neck still. But they didn’t tell me while I was in labor, but I had to have an oxygen mask on because every time I was pushing, I think her heart rate was dropping. I’m not sure, they don’t tell you that stuff in labor so you don’t stress. But she came out, the doctor slipped the cord off and she was as healthy as can be. The cord being around the neck isn’t as crazy as it use to be. Doctors use to think you always had to do a csection but doctors have come a long way and you and your baby will be okay 💖
