What do you ladies use for frizz during the day? I tried to find a picture of her with her hair down and I don't have a single one ?

@Anna I've heard that too but it really just depends I think. If I brushed dd's dry it would be all over the place lol. For her hair it's just easier when it's wet and has conditioner in it but when I say she has curls on top of curls, I mean it lol. She's got very tight small curls. I love it when she wants to wear it down because of all the volume she has. I have brushed it dry when we were just pulling it up though.

I've always heard you never brush curly hair dry. You will damage it. My daughter is mixed and I only wash n conditioner it 2 times a week. I brush it only when wet. Then I plat braid it. I also condition it with mixed chicks 3xs a week

I tried one awhile ago by redken, but it was too heavy for her hair. I should try another one.

Have you ever tried a leave in conditioner? I've tried several, Pantene used to make the best leave in conditioner! I couldn't find it for a long time but I think I saw it last week in Walmart.

I have to comb through it dry before washing it or else the knots are so bad I can't comb it (even with conditioner and detangler) when it's wet. I've tried both ways and the pain and frustration is actually less if I do it this way. I have to do the same thing with my hair. I use a wide tooth comb to do as little damage as possible. It's about time to have her first trim-I think cutting off the left over baby hair will make a huge difference in the knot factor. I'll have to try the shampoo/conditioner you all suggested.

@Serena yep, keratin is awesome too! Op when you brush her hair do you wet it in the tub first? If you wet it, wash it, then put conditioner and let it sit for about 3 minutes, maybe less and then brush it, it works sooooo much easier. After you get all the tangles then just rinse the conditioner. If you've never tried Suave with Shea and Keratin, give it a try! You can add a little conditioner to a spray bottle to help comb it too.

My daughter has similar hair to yours ? love the curls. Just curious, how come you comb it when dry,and not wet? My girl would go mad if I ever tried to comb it when dry lol we always wait till she's in the bath with conditioner on X

I have naturally curly hair and i have to put in a small amount of regular conditioner to comb thru it or else the knots are horrible. I use it in my nieces hair as well she no longer complains when i comb out her knots.

My 6 year old dd has the same hair, curls on top of curls. I've tried everything on her hair from mixed chics to coconut oil and the best thing I've found is plain ol' Suave with Shea Butter, it's in a brown bottle for $2 at Walmart. The conditioner, I can just run my fingers through her hair after I let it sit for a minute and her hair is down to her bottom when it's wet. I won't buy anything but that for her now.

I don't comb her hair a lot either, I do when I wash it, put it in a braid and after that it's totally natural.

I only comb it to wash it. Otherwise it flows freely. She hates having it combed. The tears. The anguish. The pleading to the universe for a magic detangling comb. You would think nearly 40 years of dealing with my curls would give me a clue how to deal with hers, but nope. Thank goodness natural hair is acceptable right now! If it ever gets as long as annalees, Nes, I'm screwed! ?

She seriously has the best hair. I'm sure she won't always love it, but eventually she'll appreciate the volume and the curls.

I wish I had even half that volume. I love it.

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?
