Don't clean the cat box, if you can have someone do it for you. If that's not possible use gloves and a towel over your nose and mouth.

yea just wear a mask and gloves and wash hands. sometimes my kitten has poo on her butt and I freak out lol

Holy crap why didn't I think of an automatic litter box! Dangit! Silly preggo brain....

I bought an automatic cat box so it scoops itself after every use then you just throw the insert box away when the time comes. It's the best investment I've ever spent on my kitty. But I still have my Hubby take the litter to the dumpster. There is a disease in cats bowel movements called taxoplasmosis, it usually found most among outdoor cats but it can be very damaging to a fetus. So be careful!

I have two cats and hubby is on deployment so it's all on me. I just wear gloves and a little painters mask and wash my hands very well afterwards. I've already talk to my doctor and she says I'm doing it right. She doubts that I'd ever catch it simply because I've been around cats all my life and I'm probably immune to it. My cats are also indoor cats.

Anyhoo! If you can get someone to change it for you go for it! If not, gloves and a little mask my dear! Happy and healthy 9 months to you!
