You can also use flour sack towels as inserts. You can get 5 for $5 from walmart. They work good and are a cheaper alternative

I do love all the colors and designs :)

So how many cloth diapers should I get in the beginning? I was thinking of the ones that you put liners in.

They are not any extra hassle. Ive been using them on my first daughter for over a year now and love them. I have enough diapers to do laundry once a week....twice if im feeling ambitious. We never have rashes, never have to worry about running out and having to run to the store quick and in the year we have had 2 blow outs but with disposable we had one a day.

We use liners with pul covers, sometimes do the pre folds with a cover but i like not using a whole diaper for every change, just take out the liner and put a new one in, put the cover back on. Ull find a system and type that works best for u and ur preferences

We just started using pocket ones a month ago on my 8 month old because she was allergic to every brand except 1 and as soon as she came out of size 2 she was leaking without it even being wet, we love them. They're no extra hassle to us at all, 2 extra washes a week (which is less than I was doing having to change her so often!), mostly dry overnight, and just as easy to put on! All her nasty rashes have cleared up and had no leaks at all. Will definitely be using for future children :)

My hubby and i r using them. I like how they r chemical free unlike disposable. Also really good for the environment not sending upteen diapers into the landfills. That being said u will save about a thousand dollars a yr doing cloth so thats a free dominican vacation...lol thats tempting enough right there B-). I will however have some disposable ones for those days where there r tummy bugs. There are soo many options, all in ones, liners, pocket diapers, wool covers pul covers, flats, pre folds. U need 24 diapers to do washing every other day when they're young and then 11-15 when they get bigger. Its easier than what ppl think. When theyre nb and breastfed u dont even have to rince them just put in ur wet bag and throw em in the machine

Too much work. I just like the easy route when I'm dealing with a newborn. If I was a ftm then I MIGHT consider it. My sister is a "crunchy" mom and her hassles are hilarious. They seem so unnecessary to me. (Jmo)
