I used cloth diapers and wipes for two kids. I plan on for this one as well.
oh okay i got it @rachi hope to stay hime but life takes its course who knows 😊
I stopped because I went back to work, and both the babysitter and my husband said they wouldnt do cloth diapering, so at first I did it when he was home but then it became way too much extra work
I cloth diapered for 4 months with my son, and I used baby wipes. This time around im going to try it again, but use cloth wipes because when its time to clean them, you literally have to separate the wipes from the diaper, and its just an unnecessary mess
cloth wipes or baby wipes...i choose baby wipes @m173 @mommyoftwo1416
I know for sure, you can't use any kind of ointment or powders with the cloths because it'll brake down the minerals and things in the inserts causing them to not hold anything properly.
@woahmama, We'll probably get some disposable for that.
I only clothed with my daughter when she had bad rashes. Other than that, she was in a disposable diaper. I'm a stay at home mom and hardly ever go out, so nobody really gets to watch my daughter and it'll probably be that way when my son gets here. If they do watch the baby, it's really easy instructions on how to change the diapers. Let me find the link on clothing and I'll send it to you.
@m173, @mommyoftwo1416. what about when friends and family are sitting?
@m173, @mommyoftwo1416 i want to as well do you guys think its hard?
Pros are its really cost effective, didn't have problems with diaper rashes, any irritation in the area cleared up fast before an issue occurred. Potty training was way easier with cloth. They are highly attractive looking and make it fairly easy to go to a pool or beach with out having to buy swim diapers which cost a lot. Cons are you of course have to clean them and there is a learning curb to it, not too many people out there to ask for advice on them unless you get lucky enough to meet some, every diaper cream is probably not compatible with the diaper but there are ones that are friendly for cloth, you have to bring a zipper waterproof bag for storing dirty diapers when you travel out. My first child was done all disposable and she he rashes and I couldn't figure things out as well. Some disposable cause reactions in babies which I didn't realize. They are packed with some horrible chemicals.
