My Story

I found out on May 16th that I was pregnant. I had been on the NuvaRing since November 2015 and had not had a period. Baby #3 was a surprise but we were so excited to welcome a new little bundle of joy into our family. Between the 16th and the 21st of May I took home pregnancy tests and each came out darker. I made an appointment with my PCP for confirmation. On May 23rd their urine test came out negative but they also did a blood draw. They called me on May 26th to confirm the positive results. On May 27th our family was driving from Las Vegas to Denver to visit my family. While we were driving I started feeling cramps. We pulled over at a gas station and when I went to use the restroom there was blood in my underwear. I started passing a lot of clots. We drove to the nearest ER. They drew blood and did both an abdominal and vaginal u/s. They said my uterus was empty. The bleeding had completely stopped by the next day.
