Attempting a vba2c
So....I've been considered high risk in all 6 of my previous pregnancies bc I've had 4 mc over the last 8 years & my son & I almost died 7 years ago bc of pre-e. Feb will make 4 years ago that I delivered my daughter via rep c-sec. My doctor this time is AWESOME, & she hasn't labeled me high risk, but she stays well informed on me. I'm 13+2 & today I talked with my doctor about how I didn't want to have another c-sec. I told her I really wanted to do a vba2c. I re-explained to her the circumstances that led to my c-sec with my son & how with my daughter even after 3 & half years my doctor wouldn't even let me attempt a vbac. Well, she told me she wasn't comfortable with the thought of it & that if I came into the hospital in labor, but not ready to deliver that I would have to have a c-sec. But she said she understood why I wanted a chance to deliver especially bc my body always goes into ptl. She said that we would talk about it more at more appointments further on, & that if I really wanted to do this I would have to labor at home, but she would worry about me if I chose to do that. She also said that she would not schedule a c-sec until last min. So, I'm glad she didn't shoot me down, but all in all I just kinda don't know what to think & I'm pretty sure my husband is not going to be supportive of me going for a vbac after I tell him what the doctor said. I'm sorry for the book. Advice please?

Depending where you live, ICAN (you can google them) can help. The doctor I chose listed vbac among her specialties, but you also have to research the hospital. Unfortunately, just bc the doctor will do vbac's doesn't mean they will do vbaMc (after multiple c sec) & not all hospitals will do vbacs. Good Luck though hun! :)
