How did you find out?
Ok so I want to know how everyone found out you were pregnant! Were you trying, was it morning sickness or did you just have a feeling?
I was expecting my period on November oddly it didnt show up the day i expected since i have irregular period but always every month. Then i got my period that month but it was lighter than normal. I took it as my period & the next month (Dec.) i started to spot for 1day i thought it was weird but though nothing of it. Soon after that i noticed my boobs growing but i just said " eh its getting close to the end of the month so i must be getting close to my period" i got toward the end of the month & still no period, i was so bloated i looked pregnant & plus i had nausea that felt like a hang over. I started thinking what if im pregnant? But i was like ill wait for my period i dont want to have to buy a pregnancy test after soooo many times doing it & getting a - , so i waited another month & nothing till my bf told me i need to test already because its been too long wd no period. I was soo scared to but we got the tests & decided to test in the morning. So the next morning i woke up early sooo nervous without waking my bf & took it.... A big fat + came out i was shaking i soon woke my bf up & asked him do you see it do you see it & he looked at it & said " your pregnant" half asleep. I was soo happy i started crying, i was soo nervous & shaky too.
Im now 15 weeks pregnant?
My pregnancy is a complete shock we thought we were done having kids as I already have 4 boys and had the mireana coil but when I was in the local supermarket I was smelling the shower gels to see what was nicest when suddenly I felt sick and I vomited there and then so I got a test from the next aisle and went to the toilets in the supermarket and got a positive result biggest shock of my life went to the doctor to find out I was 8 weeks pregnant and my coil must of fell out without me noticing I didn't have any symptoms I even had a period in November I am now looking forward to welcoming our newest baby boy in aug 11th xx
I've always been irregular but I was really sick with sore boobs and mood swings, so I went to the doctor and got a negative. He said that my birth control was probably mimicking pregnancy symptoms so I went off it (glad I did!!) but nothing changed so I went back and he tested for a bunch of things, all came back negative. About a month later when I was still horribly sick I went in again and they re-tested, still nothing!! I was sure he was wrong so I went and bought a clear blue, the one with the weeks indicator, and sure enough it was positive, I took 4 different store bought tests and then took them into the doctor so he scheduled an ultrasound for me and I was almost 11 weeks!
I was using the patch for bc. Definitely wasn't planning on having any kids for awhile since my last pregnancy I had preeclampsia. My baby weighed 2lbs1oz. So it was all very scary for my family and myself. Thank God everything came out well. So I put my patch on 2 days late and just because I was paranoid about it so I took plan b. I thought I would be ok but I had this feeling so right after thanksgiving I took a test and sure enough it was positive so I believe God has a plan and it was meant to be. Maybe it's my girl since I have two boys ??
I think I first new was when I went to visit my dad, instantly my happy mood went out the window. I saw him and before he could say anything I told him not to talk to me because I instantly felt angry for no reason. I felt like cactus was in my bra and I told my friends I just knew I was pregnant. I really didn't keep track of my LMP so I really had no idea when to test. I took a test and it was negative, so I was expecting to get my period. A week later I called my dad and he said you need to test, you're acting differently and his gf had already gone through her cycle (normally we're on the same one) bought a few tests on Christmas Eve and instantly turned positive! Now 15+2 with a healthy baby girl :)
I actually didn't think I wad pregnant. I noticed my Boobs looked bigger a few weeks prior but didn't think anything of it. My period was then two weeks late (I have a 38 day cycle so I never got a period in november), and my boyfriend had been out of work on an injury so we didn't have the money to pay rent. So I assumed my period was late because I was stressed out. What made me take a test was the fact that everytime I had a smoke for two weeks I had felt extremely nauseas, so finally I thought I'd buy a test a rule out pregnancy for my period being late. I even took the test when my boyfriend was out because I was so sure it'd be negative.
Turns out you can have a million scares and never get pregnant, but the one time you don't expect it is the time it happens. But I couldn't be more happy to have my baby, and I can't wait until he/she is here.
We have been trying for about 7 years now. December 2012 found out that I had PCOS lost some weight doctor put me on Clomid nothing happened the first round but the second round I got pregnant I had the worst cramps ever tested and got a very faint positive next day started bleeding and found out I had a chemical pregnancy on November 1st. Was told to take a month break hubby was away for training for the Army and mid November he got back few weeks later he kept telling me to go take a pregnancy test I kept telling him why I wasn't on Clomid or anything. So I have in and got one and it was positive. :) I am now 18 weeks and expecting our baby boy on 8/8/14.
We started trying about 3 months before we conceived. I've always been very regular with my menstrual cycle so when I was 2 days late I took a test hoping for the good news. Test was negative abd I was a little sad. 3 days later I knew something was going on so I tried again and finally got my positive test. This is my first pregnancy and we're so excited!
We had been trying for a couple of months. I took a test early (maybe five days before AF was due) and it was negative, so I gave up on the cycle. Well, a few days later I had a dream and in it, Rob Lowe told me I was pregnant. The next day I was kind of laughing to myself about it and then realized I was super tired. I took a test (still before AF was due - maybe a day away or something) and it was positive! LO is due August 14. :)
It was our first month trying. We were hosting Thanksgiving dinner 3 days after my period was due. Sunday before Thanksgiving we realized on 13 people could sit at the table, not 15. I was sooo emotional I started crying because we needed to use another table. A couple days later my DH tried caressing a breast and I wanted to punch him I was in so much pain. The day before Thanksgiving I tested upside down so I couldn't see results while peeing. A few minutes later I told my DH to check the test. It was positive, neither of us thought it was true but 2 weeks later we heard a heartbeat at the dr's office. It's been an amazing journey. It's great reading all these stories too!!
Well I was just waiting an waiting for my period to come. My boobs were sore, I was cramping but yet, no period ?. And I know the more you think and anticipate your period the longer it usually takes to come. So I decided to just take a test to ease my mind thinking "when it says negative maybe that will reassure me that it's coming"... Needless to say it never said negative lol and here I am 18 weeks pregnant! Lol
We had been trying since my daughter turned 1 in dec 2012. My periods were very irregular. In early November I ended up in the er because I had a cyst rupture while I was at work. They told me I had 6 large cysts on my overies plus quite a few small ones. Over the next few weeks I had a couple more rupture, my dr told me she wanted to try clomid and if that didn't work after a few rounds they would do some tests for pcos. We didn't expect it to work. I know quite a few people who clomid did nothing for them so I figured I would get the same results. Well my period was late so I went ahead and tested and it was positive!!! We had an ultrasound every week from 4-8 weeks to make sure it was growing properly (I have had 4 miscarriages at 6-7 weeks) and here we are!!!
We definitely weren't trying and I was on bc..I even had a period in December..then I missed in January took a test that was clearly positive and a week later found out that I was 8 weeks..we conceived in November and I had absolutely no symptoms until after I found out I was pregnant..but congrats
We started trying in August after I had a bilateral cystectomy and removal of endometrial tissues (that's also when I learned I had endo, big surprise because I had no symptoms).
In November we started with opk's but only had sex twice.
Less than 2 weeks later I felt odd, I couldn't drink my normal bottle of wine and my son kept telling everybody about his baby sister in my belly.
I took a test and to my surprise I was pregnant.
Andddd baby is a girl like ds said :-)
We had been trying for 18 months with no luck and Clomid for the last three. I had started spotting 8 or so days before I was supposed to start my cycle which usually continues until I start. This had been the norm for me since coming off bc, plus, I didn't ovulate the month before, so I didn't think anything of it. I was sitting on the couch with DH while he was struggling with a cold/flu bug and telling him all these strange things that were happening to me. I had a strange aversion to sweet tea, which I love, and I felt yucky after almost every meal. He told me to go to the store and get him a thermometer and me a pregnancy test. I came home and peed in a cup. Before I could get the test out of the cup, it was positive. I went to the doc the next day, they confirmed I was 6 weeks pregnant!
We were trying. Became pregnant on the second month of trying. I always test early cause I'm very impatient. Lol. I got the slightest positive 5 days before period was due. Def positive at 4 days before. Same thing with my previous 2 pregnancies. Always got early positives. We are welcoming our 3rd girl! I'm thrilled.
My husband kept telling me I was but I kept denying it because I had secretly tested and got what I thought was a negative. I got really sick with c.dif and went to urgent care. I hadn't missed my period yet technically, I was due that day. The Dr tested anyway. When she came back to tell me the results I just knew she would say negative and then keep going to the other results but she said it was positive! I was so shocked because we weren't technically trying. We decided to actively start trying in January so I was using opks to determine my ovulation day. It was negative the day we conceived and the day after. I guess my husband has some mutant, freakishly strong sperm. I looked at the first test I had taken that I threw in the bathroom trash after we got home from the Dr and it had the world's faintest positive line. I totally missed it!
We werent trying at all but I noticed in December that my period was five days late. I took a test and it came back negative so I thought nothing of it. I went out that night to the movies with the soon to be godmother and as I stood up to leave when it ended I got hit with severe abdominal pain. I got my boyfriend and we went to the ER and they asked if I was pregnant I said no cus a couple hours earlier I had the negative test. They have me pee in the cup for verification they said I had a UTI and so they were taking ne back for an xray to make sure nothing else was wrong and the doc pulled up next to my bed and said stop she cant go in there. I look at my boyfriend and he was like oh holy s*** I think I know what is wrong with you and your not gonna like it. As soon as that sentence left his mouth the doc came in and said literally just "your pregnant" and I kinda went into shock cus the boyfriend was told he couldn't have kids due to being kicked in the balls with metal cleats so we were shocked
We had been ttc for about a year. I charted bbt and was using opks. I didn't think nov would be our month bc my dh works out of town for 20 days each month and we had sex 8 days before I ovulated. I looked online and almost everything said sperm lived only 3-5 days internally so I didn't have much hope. I did find one place that said 6-7 days and one place that said maybe up to 10 so I had a remnant of hope. On thanksgiving, I was 10 days past ov and had gone up to his work to visit him and I decided to take a test (I usually spot on day 9 and have my period on day 10, I have a short luteal phase) since I wasn't spotting or really showing pms signs and I had the FAINTEST positive. We were shocked and I thought it was a fluke. The next day I tested again and still positive. I took about 12 tests in the next week or so. And here I am :)
We had been trying for nearly a year. I had a bit of implantation bleeding at 2+6, and then a disgustingly crazy increased amount of cm the following day. Because of this, tested at 3+2 and a very dark positive. :) it was really hard for me to know that early because we had 2mc's right before, so I had a lot more time to worry. But, also it was lucky for us to find out that early too, because I was able to start my progesterone the very next day. And now my baby is healthy and almost 15weeks. :)
I love all these stories!!! I'm over here tearing up at the clomid one!!!
Well my man had just proposed and I was trying to lose my last couple pounds and had my mirena removed. I got sick about a month later and told him that in addition to the antibiotics, sex was the best known immunity booster. According to my period tracker, I was ovulating that weekend but I didn't think anything of it because all the articles I read said you don't normally get pregnant for about 3 months after having it removed.
Well I started hot yoga a couple weeks later and took a two tests before I started just to make sure. Negative. Then in class I was always feeling just awful. Like it never had that euphoric feeling. I took another test because I was sooooo tired. Negative. Then my SO was like I think you're pregnant because you've never been this tired. And my boobs were sore and had grown a cup size.
I took the last test in the middle of work and it came back positive. It was totally unexpected but we're all quite happy about it.
I new about two days before I missed my period....don't know how I knew just did. We were not trying to prevent it but I didn't have any faith tried for 3years with my x.
I waited 3 days after I missed to test. No early symptoms just intuition. I told SO the first day I missed and he was pretty sure too. This makes both our 3rd and will make 4 kids living in our house
Me and my hubby have talked about trying but it was hard cuz he's in the army and was gone for ten months before he could come get me and help me move... So the week we moved I got pregnant didn't realize it obviously and first week in December I missed my period and I knew it. We didn't think it was going happen so quick but I'm glad it did :)
We started trying in the middle of September and In October I had a crazy heavy period I thought I miscarried so then I went to the dr and I didn't miscarry so they said your probably not ovulating if it happens again come in for testing so I kind of gave up and but we were not useing protection so in the beginning of November it happened again so I got an appointment and the blood work done on December 2nd and it came back as I wasn't ovulating and my thyroid was messed up all these crazy results so I was OK whatever we will get all this sorted out then start trying next year so in December I was sapost to start my period in December 12th and I woke up the morning of the 16th and was like wait what day is it and I checked the calender and was like Ok I've never been this late and not pregnant so I went and got 10 tests from the store and took them all and they were all positive and they were clear blue and first response ones so not cheap and I was like OMG this can't be true so all my results were messed up because they didn't do another pregnancy test when they did my blood work and get those crazy results. And I gave up so easily because my first two I got pregnant the the first time we tryed. Sorry for the long post Lol
We had a broken condom one month and it didn't get me pregnant.. We decided right after that that why not? We won't try but won't prevent since I knew there was a chance it could take a long time to get pregnant... Well my period was due on Monday that month so I took an early test the Friday before and it was negative so we went out and drank, then Monday night I was up all night sicker than I've ever been and I just thought I was coming down with something... Wednesday I took another test and I was pregnant. Although we weren't preventing I had NO idea it would happen so quick... 18+5 with baby #2 for each of us #3 all together. Excited and nervous
I had been on Clomid and we were trying but I've had too many negatives to get my hopes up and I just knew I wasn't pregnant. I had taken some cheap dollar store tests and they were all negative. (Come to find out Clomid can make your cycles longer and may ovulate longer) well my husband came home one night and handed me a 3 pack of FRER. I was honestly really hurt, because I KNEW I wasn't pregnant and I was like why would you do that. He said the only other time you acted like that was when you pregnant the first time. I deliberately tested at like 9pm so I knew it would be negative. I literally hadn't even finished peeing when it came up positive. All I could do is sit there and cry. He came to check on me and he looked at the test and said I knew I was right :) It's still surreal that after 3 years of trying I'm pregnant.
With this pregnancy I woke up sick and was throwing up all day. Got sent home from work I took a pregnancy test that was negative. Went to the Dr and was told after a urine and blood test that I had gastroenteritis. Then I missed my period and took another test while I was at work and it was positive. I was shocked. Lol we had been having unprotected sex since my second was born took us almost a year. My second and third will be 20 months apart
With our son we tried once right after I turned 21(we got married at 18yo that is why We were ready to start a family). I only tested on New Years Eve to see if I could go party. Turned positive instantly. Did not have one single pregnancy symptom with him. With this one we were not trying but not taking precautions either. Left it up to God. Had many losses in the years in between, gwe always wanted more kids just didn't happen like we thought it would. Once again, first time not using protection, BAM pregnant. I have been pregnant six times all in the first try over a ten year span. As soon as we got done "making this one" I looked at my husband and said, "you know you just got me pregnant right?" He knew not to question me cause I always get it right. One week later, at 3 weeks pregnant I started getting really sick, could not eat let alone smell food. This lasted till week 15. Waited to test till 4w2d, positive a full minute before the control even showed. But happy to say this baby is healthy and we are super excited!
How did you know you were pregnant?

I wasn't trying to get pregnant. I was 2 days late but wasn't worried because I was a week late the month before. I had a horrible cold and that was when I knew something was wrong. I rarely if ever get sick and so I took a test and the positive line showed up with in seconds. Looking back I noticed before I found out I became nauseous when I drank alcohol and didn't want to drink it. I also smoked but the cold prevented me from smoking a lot. This all occurred on December 5th.
