Mother rant
I want to start off this rant with: I love my mom, she is amazing and has helped so much since ds was born and she will be an even bigger help when ds2 is born.
Yeah I was fed hamburgers at 7 8 months and I'm not dead. I like how they all say not to use the olden day bullcrap and yet they all use it in different arguments. "How do you think people fed their newborn babies back then!! Breast feeding! That's why it's best" and when we use it or anything else they use were wrong. We can feed our babies whatever we think they can handle. Our drs say our babies are healthy as can be so until you get your medical license you can't say s*** . Lol.
Well to be honest I know it's annoying but since she's only in her mind erring on the side of caution I wouldn't get too worked up. As a rule of thumb anything the size of your small fingernail is ok as a chunk choking wise. - I'm really paranoid about choking so it may just be her thing. - the bibs though it's not too big a deal. - maybe just humour her? X
Listen I'm pretty sure this isn't for people criticizing and calling names I am a husband of one the moms on here and I know I don't appreciate it cause she never said anything bad to you so if you can't say anything without positive input just get off the damn app cause no one cares what you think if all you do is talk s*** thank you have a nice day
U can parent your kid the way u want and I will mine my son takes vitamins every day he drinks milk he eats tons of fruit and veggies u would think he would be sick of them with as much as he is and he his never sick! I never have had trouble with him he started sleeping all night at 7 weeks on just formula! Now he sleeps from 10 at night till 10 in the morning he eats healthy meals 3 times day with snacks I'm between which I'll add are baby snacks! And his juice is still baby juice!
And there is still 12 year olds having babies my parents fed me adult food and I am healthy so is my brothers and sisters it's not like he's getting a happy meal every freaking day I cook every night and healthy food not junk it is very rare he gets happy meals or pizza I grew up on eating healthy but I also got treats mothers like u guys r the reason I don't have mom friends because y'all r just so rude everyone has there own opinion I respect that but going off on someone who gives there kid real food is ridicules and yes I know formula has nutrition he just got off of it like 3 weeks ago and since I have been back to visit family my mother in law gives him baby food and formula not as much cuz she finally figured out he is a growing boy And that stuff doesn't fill him up he refuses baby food and formula ik he didn't drink his bottle last night he just through it
My son has never had purees. We did baby led weaning starting around 8 months. It was one of the best experiences I have ever had as a parent! The reason babies choke is because we are taught to shove food down their throats as opposed to making them healthy foods and trusting that they know what to do! My son is 15 months just weaned from nursing, eats like a champ without aversions, and has NEVER choked :) just thought I could throw out a legitimate, healthy weaning process into this argument!
@ lily you do know formula/breast milk is where your child gets all their nutrition from and food is just for fun from the age of 6-12 months. Just because your child is full off of empty calories doesn't mean it's healthy. By loading them up on that stuff your putting them at risk for future health issues. Maybe do some research, consult a nutritionist or take advice from a pediatrician. If I were you I wouldn't be bragging about your poor decisions that affect your child.
I only used bibs when I fed my kids banana or anything with tomato.
Banana stains are the worst :/
Also I think maybe because your mum isnt there 24/7 she doesnt realise that your little one can handle the foods you give them. In her eyes she probably sees him as delicate little baby, not a growing toddler.
@lily please don't use the back in day b.s. either. Back in the day 12 year olds were having babies and you check the average age of adults when they died. The back in the day argument is one of the dumbest excuses you could
Edit: beyond disgusting that you fed your 5 month old a happy meal. You just won the mother of the year award. Congratulations.
Back before baby food what did they feed babies?ADULT FOOD!!! It is 100% ok your dr my not think so but your kid does just don't feed them abunch a junk my kid has pizza hamburgers stuff like that but he always has veggies and fruit and I make him eat them first and he rarely gets sweets
Listen my son has been eating adult food since he was 3 months old yes he still had the baby food and formula but it will not hurt a kid to try new things my son has his first happy meal at 5 months now he is 100% off baby food and formula and he is a year it fills them up faster and it's easier to feed them
Honestly, my daughter ate a whole intact cheeseburger at like 6 months old. She was a freaking garbage disposal. So I never had to worry. The bites she takes now oh wow. Biggest bites I've ever seen. But I will worry about DS because he will most likely take after his dad who I hear didn't eat well as a baby. Little bitty bites and bite sized snacks. I was a monster like dd. Lol
That would annoy me to no end. I know she is concerned, but damn it woman, drop it already. My youngest is 16 months and he eats peanuts. He never even had puree foods. He eats what I eat, and I dare my mom to question it, which she never would since she knows her place.
Tell her to back the hell up (more politely, of course) and that you know what you are doing with your own child.

is it wrong to be frustrated that my daughter acts like she can't do certain things with out my help. she plays dumb a lot and I wish I could be like no girl show what you know. she acts like she can't trace or match shapes so shes ask for "mommy finger" to help her so I barely hold her hand and she magically can do it but if I dont hold her hand she just scribbles and acts like she doesnt know
the pic is how she traces when I'm "helping her" otherwise it'll just be scribbles all over the page

My August baby decided she wanted to be a May baby like her big sister. Madison Noelle was born on Tuesday, May 24 at 3:50pm, weighing 2lbs, 13oz and 14". She was born at 27 weeks and has a long road ahead of her. Every day she has been getting stronger and amazing everyone. Please keep us in your prayers, my family and I have a long road ahead of us. Congratulations to everyone and I wish you all wonderful pregnancies and deliveries! ??❤️
This may be the stupidest thing ever but i hope my daughter is born on a date I actually like 😂😂😂 like if she was born on the 11th i would be like eww 😒 but if she was born on the 15th i would be fine with that lol so stupid i know 😐

She is here and she is perfect. Meet Elora Danni born 10:29pm on 2/24/19 7lbs 12oz 20.5in. I am so in love my heart is bursting.
TWW!!
2dpo and on the tww journey. Anyone on the same dpo or close? Haven't decided if I will test at 12dpo or just wait and see if she shows up!!
Wtf?! A 5 month old eating a happy meal? I'm sorry but that's so gross on a very unhealthy level.
