Blistered AGAIN!!!

Holy OW! I have another set of suction blisters on my nipple. This time it's 3 massive ones that hurt so bad it takes my breath away and makes me feel sick to my stomach. I use lanolin after every pump and have the pump set to the minimum pressure needed to effectively pump. I don't know what else to do to avoid getting these. They are not running the flanges so it's not that I need a bigger size. My nipples are actually small so maybe I need the smaller ones?

One thing that worked for me was using coconut oil to lubricate my nipples while pumping. It has made quite a difference. If the flanges are the correct size, definitely try the coconut oil. I also use an alternative to Lansinoh (it was always super "tacky" when I used it). It's called Earth Mama Angel Baby Nipple Cream. I get it from Amazon and love it. Good luck!!!

So if my insurance approved my breast pump a month before I deliver and my doctor won't approve it until 6 weeks post partum has any one ever been told this this crap? Now I can't get a breast pump because they won't sign the prescription until I have my baby and wait 6 weeks just for them to fax back a piece of paper said it's not necessary to have one

Breast pump covered by insurance

Breast pump covered by insurance I've already done what I needed to find out what type of pump I get covered through insurance. It turns out, with my insurance, I can't even get my pump shipped to me until I call them with all the birth details of my baby. So...wth am I supposed to do having a baby and no pump?! I plan to pump exclusively and this REALLY throws a wrench in my plans.
