4yo Fever after bug bite
Normal? Dd got bit by something at the lake some flying type insect. She was with my mom and now she has a 101.0 fever coincidence? Or could it be a reaction?

How many more nights more would you give your one year old who has the flu Motrin at bedtime, even though they have no fever anymore and don't seen uncomfortable? No fever for almost two days now. My husband thinks just because she does not have a fever and is not showing signs that's she uncomfortable that she should still get meds before bed, like last night, and she was perfectly fine all day. Also today is the 5th day of the flu if she even still has it

It could be a reaction or it could be something completely unrelated. I'd inly worry if meds can't bring it down, or there are other serious symptoms.

Where do you live, OP? Some mosquitos carry virus's that cause fevers.

Could be from the bite.
She may also be heat exhausted or dehydrated from being out side all day

All she wants to do is sleep. We were actually at the lake after the bite with her and she came up to us and said she didn't feel good and wanted to go home and sleep. That's when she started feeling warm and at night was when the fever actually started
