If you use a wrap, is it a specific brand or did you go to like a craft store and buy a big piece of fabric?

Is the material like a jersey or a table cloth?

If it's like a table cloth you want to make sure it's only stretchy diagonally.

Is there a baby wearing group that you can join locally?
Those mommas are a serious bunch!
I just joined one and was mesmerized with the different wraps and overloaded by all of their knowledge!

Interesting about it being tested for weight. I suppose that's why the fake ergos and mobys on eBay are a big no no?

I rather not risk it. Like you said can't be sure if it will rip or not. Thank you ladies

First comment is very wrong. There is much more to a wrap than just being a piece of fabric. It has to be safe for the weight of your baby, and if it isn't hemmed, it needs to be. There are a few DIY Babywearing pages on Facebook that could help you decide if it is safe or not.

She said she just bought it since it looked stretchy and string enough doesn't remember what kind it is. It is just stretchy and seems like a dressy shirt fabric kind if that makes sense.

That's all a wrap is, long stretchy fabric. Maybe someone can bump a post. This woman made this really cute tye dye wrap, you just wear it like a moby.
