I have one too. It was pretty big last week and really didn't shrink in size this week. The heartbeat was strong and I'm 7weeks today. OB says I just need to rest and drink lots of fluids. No heavy lifting, sex etc... She said if I ever have any heavy bleeding or cramping to go to the ER. Im only spotting and praying it resolves soon???? Good luck to you.

I had one with my son. He is 6. It was large and I was on bedrest pretty much my whole pregnancy. I bled last week and went to the ER and found out I had another. I'm 8w. Had my follow up today and its gone. They are very common and usually resolve themselves. If you are not bleeding, you should be just fine. Waiting to see your OB is perfectly fine. August really isn't that far away anymore.

I had one with my first pregnancy. Unless you start bleeding again I wouldn't go back except for your routine appointment. From what I understand they are harmless and very common.

I don't think you need to go to the ER unless you're feeling like you're going to pass out or having SEVER cramping and pain. Unfortunately, this early if there is something wrong with baby they won't do anything but tell you that you're passing baby or whatever the case is. :( Good luck though

That stinks ? I agree if you feel like you need to get looked at then I would see the er. Nothing wrong with wanting to make sure your baby is healthy

I am no expert of course but I think you are safe to wait until the 1st unless you have a lot of bleeding or cramping

The walk in clinic around here won't do an ultrasound unless you're getting an abortion ? and yes emergency rooms aren't for routine care but if I feel like something is wrong with my baby then I'm going to the ER

I advise you not to go to the ER unless you have a medical emergancy. I'm an ER nurse and routine care is not what the ER should be used for.

They said that it was 2.5cm but when I went in the baby wasn't even 1cm so I'm not sure how good or bad that size is

I have one too! Did the doctor say if it was small, moderate, or large? Small to moderate sized hematomas typically go away on their own. I'm going back weekly for ultrasounds but I have an IVF baby on board.

If it was small to moderate then you should probably just wait until the first. There is not treatment for the hematoma so if you do go in it would just be to find out if it shrunk or grew.
