My birth story! (It's long lol) This is my little Uriah. I can't explain how much love I feel looking at his face. The pain was completely worth it. So I was awake after watching a movie with my mom and I decided to get some food and go up to dh. After I ate my water broke because I did squats lmao!!! I did 3 squats and on the third one my water burst, that was at 2:43am, I then went down to tell my mom but didn't have any contractions yet. I got to the hospital around 4:15 and at 5 they came and checked me and I was still a 2, they said I had to be monitored for a while and tried to say they were going to start pitocin and I said no. I'm doing this naturally. And they said well how do you plan on doing that, and I said I'll walk around to help myself dilate. So I did that and at 7 I was a 4-5 90% effaced, came back at 11 and I was 7cm 50% effaced, they checked at 12:30 and I was 8cm 0% and then at 1:30 I was 8-9 0%. So she had me turn on my side because my cervix was sitting up high on my right side. I had two strong contractions laying on my left side and then he dropped and my body started pushing without me doing it. They had me lay on my back as I was a 10 and they could see his head and I did two big long pushes and he was out! Did immediate skin to skin for two hours and he nursed the whole time. ?? Also if it wasn't for dh I would have probably tried to get up and go home and say forget it we aren't having a baby today lmao! I went from crying from contractions at 7cm to being able to breathe through them so quietly and calmly that they didn't hurt as bad at even 9cm. My mom rubbed my back for me the whole time and I'll forever be grateful to her for doing that. I'm so happy with my little prince and his daddy just cried when he saw him. So much love in that room.
@the7 really? Yeah the midwife and Doctor were pretty obnoxious at first since he's my first and I'm 23. So they were like yeahhh ok sureeee. But I did it. That sucks that they don't ask people if they want to try without it. I had to tell them no they aren't putting it in and I didn't want an iv. They gave me a hep block but that's it and didn't put saline in it because I said I wanted to keep myself hydrated by drinking water.
And thank you pp!!
Congratulations! My water broke and I didn't have contractions and I was 5cm when I got to the hospital. They started me on that piticoin stuff and I hated it, they almost had to stop my labor because it sent my body into overdrive and then I almost needed a c-section. I wish I would have known I could have tried without it.
I drank at least a cup of water every hour, enough to not get nauseous for an over supply of water during contractions and enough to not dehydrate, it was almost 12 hours in total of my water being broken to when he took his first breath. It was 7 hours that I was in active labor!
Thank you ladies! We were discharged already and are now all home! Such an exciting and crazy experience lol! I had a "skidmark" of a 1st degree tear on the side but everything else was great!
That's right no epidural, no iv fluids(saline), and no pitocin. All natural
Thank you ladies!!! ???? ugh I can't stop staring at him lol I feel like a creeper hahahaha. You ladies made me feel I could stick to my guns by all your advice! So thank you so much everyone for your support! I'm such a big gush ball of love right now lol so excuse me ?
Thank you!!!! I definitely just tried to survive lol!
Thank you!!!! I wasn't expecting it to be like that either! Dh didn't either!
Thank you ladies!!!! Yeah I've heard it makes the contractions sooooo much stronger!
Thank you all so much!!! My advice if you do, create no other option for yourself. Believe in yourself and trust your body! I believed I wouldn't need it but trust me there were times I almost changed my mind. Make sure you have a really good support group to remind you of your plan and trust in it!!! But if you get one that's totally fine too! Just how I managed!
It's mainly that he's skinny and long lol dh is tall too and skinny lol
Thank you @Tennessee!! It was hard at times when they all kept doubting me, made me feel like I was inadequate for the task. They said they've rarely seen anyone stick to going all natural and they were all proud of me. It was a great feeling to be able to fight for the birth I wanted and get it. It was equally as hard to get it as well though lol.
@aromatics that's so cool! Dh picked out the name!
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
Starting TWW. Anyone else?
I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.
the amount of women who are clueless about their own anatomy is so sad and shocking. a lot of the women are older than me and have more children then I do 😳
now I understand that everyone has their own opinion on the topic and grown adults can do whatever they want with their bodies but to deny facts and make up false statements about your own anatomy when it comes to your unborn child is just so disappointing.

Thank you!!! @manda, it took a lot of will power and dh said I was that difficult patient every nurse doesn't want because I refused any help from medicine. I didn't mind though lol I just wanted my birth to go the way I had planned. I'm glad I didn't have to go off my plans but I was prepared to if necessary.
