Ridiculous claims
My best friend loves telling me about people she knows and what they've done parenting wise. Most of it is complete crap, but today took the cake. She says her friend has a 7 week old who has been trained to sleep from 7pm to 7am without waking up once. Also the baby is breastfed. I asked her what kind of drug the lady is giving her baby, because you can't sleep train a newborn. She says she just has the baby trained. I just said ok and left it at that.
My son has been sleeping 9 to 9 every night since he was 11 weeks old. He's just a sleepy guy. He would eat when he wanted, but just wanted to sleep. If I woke him up to feed him he would scream until I out him back to bed. He didn't want my boobs or a bottle. He just wanted sleep.
both of my daughters started sleeping trough the night as a two week old babies. so i know that its possible. they still are good sleepers and doesnt wake up at nights. now my son is almost three weeks old and he sleeps from 10 till 5am, im hoping that soon he will to sleep through the night as well
Drugs to the baby eh? Hmm. Love to know what type. May have helped with my first child and all.
My youngest daughter has slept from 2 months old from 7:30pm through to minimum 7am, sometimes later. She is now a healthy toddler who still sleep through the nights. No, not all kids do or will but some do. Without drugs.
She gives me all sorts of "advice" from people she knows. And apparently her sil and I are crazy for wanting to breastfeed and not leave our babies at 2 weeks to go on a date night. Every time we talk she says something else ridiculous. I've been researching what I want to do for my child since we started ttc, and she acts like my informed decisions are crackpot theories.

My sweet baby girl gained her angel wings this morning. She was my best friend, my true love my everything. She was so happy and beautiful, I'm struggling to say good bye. Sleep tight princess, mummy and daddy love you very very much ❤️
Good'Morning Ladies! Has anyones baby just being very fussy and you don't even know what it could be anymore sense i try everything already & this past days she is just very fussy!!😞😖😖😩 I use to just leave her in her swing she will be happy & fall to sleep now i use her Bouncy,Swing & Nothing she will be there for a bit then start crying she has been crying a lot lately and don't know what it could be anymore i try to give a warm bath & nothing either just don't know anymore💁😨😟
I'm not at all comfortable with the thought of having my baby sleep in a crib so therefore she will sleep with me & her dad . Eventually I will have to get her to sleep in her own bed but until then she is to sleep in my bed & idc what anyone has to say about it
My friend had a question that I can not answer: if her boyfriend tested for Chlamydia and it came back positive she more then likely has it? She is 18 weeks pregnant and was wondering on how to call and ask the OB to get tested again and I honestly don’t know what to say to her
I just didn't know it was possible for a 6 week old to sleep for 12 hours every night. From what everyone on here is constantly saying, their babies never sleep; and breastfed babies usually wake up more often than formula fed babies.
She's also told me this friend of hers left her baby 1 week pp to go on an night out with her husband and I should do it too. I told her I'm not going to leave my baby that soon.
She thinks when you have a baby you just dump it on someone else and go on about your life. I try to avoid talking to her about kids, but I'm 30 weeks pregnant so it comes up a lot. She's also decided she's my baby's god mother, I'm just mor really sure if I want her for that role. I do know for a fact if anything happens to me my baby will be going to my sister not her though.
Now I'm ranting about my best friend, that was not the point of this post.
