Ladies on Makena. I recieved my shot this morning like I have been for the past month or so. And not only did I bleed through the gause, but if you look closely there is what looks like a water ring around the blood spot. Is it possible for some of the medication to seep out of the injection site? I'm worried cuz this shot hurt worse than any of the others
Thank you for the answers. I see a nurse every Friday for my shots and she said it can happen and was normal as long as it stops bleeding. But goodness,am I so sore. I feel like she hit a muscle or,nerve. Or maybe injected it in too fast. Theyre suppose tot,ake a full 60 seconds to do the actual injection but shes always really fast:/ ill probably just request that she take more time next week and hopefully it won't hurt so bad next week
I receive them weekly as well & the past few times mine have done that as well . I'm going to ask my Dr about it on Tuesday when I go in because this past week it was so bad I woke up the next morning with not only the oil stain on my panties but on our bed as well .... & Now I have a rash/raw spot from itching so bad from I'm assuming laying in bed with the meds all over my skin all night long. My boyfriend was kind of confused to (he does my shots for me at home) because he said it's the first time it's ran out like that when he pulled the needle out & the first time I've bleed .
I only had 4 shots before I had to stop, so not sure I'm much help, but the shot is a very thick oil. If the nurse administered it too quickly some of it could have seeped back out, and could be why it hurt more this time around? The nurse that did mine always pressed on it for a minute after to make sure none came back out..
I get mine every Monday and i always bleed and it does the same thing I think its normal BTW its nice to know some of us know the feeling! I dislike it very much! I'm always sore for about two days!
