You all have me excited lol! Iv been having contractions 5-8 min apart but I just shrugged them off and blamed it on the sweep. I didn't know it could turn into real labor so fast

I had it done with my 4th. Lost my plug right after & went into labor that same night! I was also 3cm dilated. Good luck!

Mine hurt lol. She even asked me before she did it if I wanted my son (who was 21months at the time) to sit and color at the nurses desk so he didnt have to see me in pain. I was only .5cm dilated and 25% effaced. I was in full blown labor 2 hours later! Gave birth 9 hours after my appointment

I was completely scared to go into labor after my sweep!! It hurt SO bad. I went into labor 3 days later. Hope you have a better experience than I did.

I went for one today but my Dr said he wasn't able to reach. Whatever that means.

I'm dilated to 2, and not very thinned out. He didn't see me going into labor anytime soon.

I had a membrane sweep with my first and went into labor that night. I think of your body is ready, it helps start things up. It sounds like you are!

Thanks ladies. I'm just concerned because I'm already dropped, dilated to a 3-4, and 50% effaced. Sounds like she's making her own progress just fine, I don't wanna rush her.

But then again I don't wanna go into labor 2 hours away either.
