All I do is worry and I hate it!
I see a therapist. It helps to get all the worry out. Sometimes just saying it out loud to another person puts it into perspective. Then having he therapist break it down for me helps me realize that there is no point to the worry. It doesn't help, it only makes me feel crazy.
When you worry ask yourself "is there something I can do to prevent something bad from happening? If yes, then why worry? If no, then why worry?"
This helped me A LOT. I still worry but I am more able to chose my battles and correct my thought process.
I'm such a worry wart I hate it. Like I'll stay up at night thinking about a situation that happened during the day and what horrible way it could have gone wrong. Then I get really anxious and feel paranoid and can't get the image out of my head. Meanwhile SO is snoring peacefully next to me ?
Why can't we just live in bubbles. For free. With free ac/heating/directv/wifi ?
I've dealt with anxiety in the past and still do at times. The only thing that helped me was my faith. It was my mom that told me 'if you're in despair and feeling anxiety, you're not trusting God. You're not trusting that He is with you and will provide for you'
Since then I've worked hard on letting go of feeling the need to control and know the future. I repeat "Give it to God and move on" and "God, help me to see the truth behind my anxiety".
Casting Crowns has a song called 'Dream for You'. It's great! The lyrics (Let me dream for you, I am strong, when you're weak I will carry you. Let go of you plan, be caught by my hand. I'll show you what I can do) opened my heart to a new way of approaching life.
Thanks princess- I believe one day I will be free from this. There are normal worries but then there are those worries that are extreme. My sister and husband never worry to the extent that I do.
Lucky yes that makes a lot of sense. I definitely do not want to be put on meds for it though. I'm hoping I can conquer this differently. Like llbilingsly said "through my faith"
I'm right there with you. I worry about things that I can't control. I'm struggling with control mostly. I need for realize that some things are out of my control and I need to trust in my faith to get me through.
Praying for you, mama
Also - Diana that is profound to me!
@currently- I really like that idea and am going to try it
I'm a worry wart too.. It really helps me to write everything down on a piece of paper, it kind of tricks my brain into not thinking about things that are bothering me so much.
Thank you ladies for easing my mind on GBS.
Diana- How are you working on it?
The realization is there for me.. I see it and understand it I just can't apply it and live it.. I do for a bit but then it comes back.
Worry is like paying tax on a debt you may never owe.
I hear your pain and I have been there myself. Patience and keep busy! Xoxox
GBS. I had with one of my children. No delivery issues and they never even got to give me the antibiotics during delivery. My dr said it is very common. Every pregnancy is tested as its a natural bacteria like floura and fauna on skin and it can be transferred but is treated with antibiotics. His lack of concern certainly put me at ease to the point I forgot all about it when I was pregnant with my girls.
Yep. It sucks because I really over analyze everything. Sometimes I can't even fall asleep at night because I'm thinking of a million different scenarios.
I feel like I struggle with anxiety too. Never spoke to my doctor about it, maybe I should.
What I'm working on is realizing that all my worry won't prevent or cause something to happen. The only thing it does is cause me anxiety.
It's funny you use the word fear because I feel like worry and fear go hand in hand.
But that's a good example of what I'm talking about. Why do we worry about things that are out of our hands. We cannot control the uncontrollable!
If it makes you feel better I live in Austin and was totally unaware we were under a tornado watch until I read this ?
I've been dealing with the fear of a massive earthquake since the beginning of this year, hasn't gone away. ?
My husband takes his cousin girlfriend to work. Should I be worried about the FEMALE coming on to my husband?
I'm afraid my baby girl might be getting too chubby... I love her rolls, but should I worry?
when you're period is late and you can't stop worrying..I hate this..
should I be worried if I have sudden massive swelling in my legs??
Not only has he not responded, now I have to sit here worrying if something happened 😣😒

Sounds like anxiety to me. If you worry so much that it effects your mental or even physical health (not sleeping) than maybe see a professional about how to cope and manage it. There are medications to help but even just counseling can teach you about of ways to keep calm and not worry as much so that way meds aren't needed... Just a suggestion I don't know your take on these subjects.. I know I've learned alot with therapy because I'm a constant worrier to the point I'd put myself in paralyzing panic attacks..
