can you guys give me some potty training tips? am i starting too soon? i thought dd was ready and peed two days in a row but now doesnt wanna go anymore. She is 19 months she will be 20 months on the 23rd. Should i just wait until shes closer to 2?
It’s not too early but just do it for fun now. Just to give her exposure and help her understand how everything works. Some days she’ll be into it other days she won’t and that’s fine. I started playing around with my girls at like 15 months but it wasn’t a constant thing just here and there. They both trained right at 2 and they just literally did it on their own. But they had the exposure and knew what to do when they felt ready.
@yayacarrington, she was showing signs (or so i thought) she was ripping her diaper off and sitting and going potty on her own and then all of the sudden she just doesnt want to anymore
You're not too early! I trained my son at 17 months. We just went cold turkey. No more diapers, just put underwear in him and took him to the potty every 15 min for the first 2 days. The first day was awful and I thought maybe he wasn't ready but I decided to stick with it and by day 3 he was completely trained! We used m&ms for his reward because they are his favorite
Just have patiences. Put the diaper back on and wait it out. My son and daughter both trained themselves, I had no reward system, no potty training potty, nothing.. I ain't got time to be stressing myself or kids over potty issues. She will get to where she has to in due time.
