starting to research and find out what I need in my hospital bag and for postpartum. what kind of pads did y'all use afterwards? and how many should I buy?
Depends for sure you don’t want to be wearing a giant pad after you just had a baby! Ouch. Plus really hard to leak plus you can ripe the sides off so you really don’t get messy with it. And if you can take the mattress protector pad they usually put under you home. It’s something you’ll use while you still bleeding if you do leak your covered. Plus it’s a life saver when your potty training. And ask your nurse for extra cold packs and spray for home use my nurse hooked me up
Depends, tucks to put on your pad, and lidocaine spray. I used the hospital mesh underwear, pads, and ice packs they provided while staying there. Also phone charger, camera, hair elastic, chapstick, outfit to wear home, flip flops, wallet with insurance card and ID, hair brush, and dry shampoo.
For baby all you need is car seat, coming home outfit, hat, and maybe a blanket. Also a pacifier if you choose to use one.
I used Poise and Maxi pads I just made sure they were overnight ones the bigger the better for me just comfort wise. I've heard the adult diapers are nice too. I got a few packs of mesh panties from the hospital and I love them.
After my son I used maxi pads, but they can be uncomfortable. I’ve seen a lot of ladies saying that using adult women’s diapers are 100% better. I bought a 10 pack of the ultra ones and I’m hoping they hold up good! Just be prepared because you’ll bleed for a good month, it won’t be super heavy the full month but it’ll be pretty heavy for a good week or two and start getting lighter
