So we've been invited to my uncle's 40th wedding anniversary party next month . This is the first time I'm taking little one to any form of party and I feel out my depth. It starts at 7pm which is usually Eddie's bedtime. General advice needed please. Do I bring the pram, will he fall asleep in there? Do I dress him up in party clothes or pj's? Will he even be able to nod off if there is loud music? Is it going to be an absolute nightmare?😂😂👩

Put him in a night pair of pjs and let him sleep in his pram. If he gets up set then leave. But you’ll be fine xxx

Personally I wouldn't take him but if you have too then I'd dress him up take him in his pram he will probably nod off at some point xx @kshelley

Family party oh yes please!! Take your baby for the family occasion as long as your not falling over I don't see a problem. I'd take the pram defo and see if you can get a cool baby grow so he's comfortable. Worse comes to the worse u just go home earlier. Erin liked loud music only way she slept at times xx

@erincharlie1226 thanks, that's a nice idea, getting a nice baby grow. A lot of my family still haven't met him yet so I do want to take him, just worrying how the night will go. I won't be drinking as I'll be driving anyway. Fingers crossed it goes well haha. X

@kshelley, this is probably the easiest time of having a baby when they start wanting to move then it’s a nightmare. Go enjoy yourself you probably need a night out and little one will be fine x

@kshelley yeah I've seen some lovely ones in shops online with like a dickie bow and braces super cute!! Aww yeah hun take him then that will be a lovely thing to do get all the visitors done in one lol. And that's even better then any problems u can jump in the car I'm sure he will be okay xx

I had all the same questions when I first took Morgan to an evening party lol. Yes take a pram/ pushchair so he can sleep. I dressed mine up but would take a sleepsuit to change them into later in the evening. Try and find a seat/ area away from the loudest part of the room. Neither of my boys were too fussed with the loud music to be honest. Throw the routine out the of the window for the night he may sleep on/off or not at all. He'll make it up when you get home or the next day enjoy yourselves!

Oh & I took Max to a wedding when he was 2weeks and Morgan was a few months for his first party. Nothing wrong with it at all. The more they're around different situations the better they learn to deal with these things that pop up 😊
