My mom is gonna be in the room when I have her but she told me to also ask my dad to be as well. Idk if that’s right to…

Me personally would never allow my dad to be in there ... and he wouldn’t want to he’s always waited until the baby was born

@alanasmommy81815, i would personally be weirded out by it. My mom told me she already talked to my dad and he said he wouldn’t mind it. It just makes me a little uncomfortable tbh

My dad was in the room when my second daughter was born. But he was behind the curtain while I was pushing her out.

I wanted my dad to be there but he didn't want to be. I didn't want my mom to be there. It was just me hubby and the midwife until 2 hours after she was born then my mom and father in law came in to meet her. They were the only ones we told about labor other than my dad. We didn't announce her birth for 2 days to anyone other than our parents. I love birth centers for that lol they don't allow anyone in the building at all during labor and delivery unless the mother says it's ok

@ilovemykids97, yea that’s how it is here as well. Like my ex I have given permission to come and visit but if the guy who could also possibly be her dad I don’t want him there. But I wouldn’t count on him even trying too.

If you’re uncomfortable with it, you can say no. You’re the mom and you’re in charge.

When it comes to my baby’s birth, I kinda expect him to be there because I’m a daddy’s girl. He’s been there for all his other grandkids births too. It all has to do with what you’re comfortable with.

My dad was in the room. And it was an amazing experience. I would do it again.

@caitlin.smith.marie, you can send him out when you start to push. My dad watched my kid come out. And he bawled like a baby. I mean i wasn’t bothered by it. It’s not something he was focusing on or going to remember. He has a very close connection with my son

They allow as many as you want even to push here. I had 3 for pushing. 8 for labor. I only labored at the hospital for a little over an hour though
