Medicaid sent me a paper saying they need the fathers name. If I give them my boyfriends name what do they do? I hope they won’t ask income stuff cause then we won’t qualify for Medicaid and insurance is expensive

Oh yeah, they ask if you two are living together on which that point you need to provide his income.
You can call your case worker and ask. I know both in NJ and in TX the state will send him to child support IF you’re asking for welfare. Not for food stamps or Medicaid. (I worked doing this) I don’t know the regulations in Georgia. If they ask does he support you? Give you cash? Say something like “no, I give him a list my baby needs every month and he gets them for me.”
@meme2393, right now he's paying $25 a month. It's not like they expect it all up front, but I wish someone would've told me that would happen. I really don't know what to do either. Sorry I couldn't be more help😞

For child support. My boyfriend now has to pay back $2500 for birth costs. We're trying to figure out a way around it now
If you included him on the application as living with you then yes they will ask for his income information. If you stated on the application he’s an absent parent then it’s most likely for child support paperwork.
I've never had to provide fathers name. That's strange.
@t143, all of this is so confusing. I didn’t put him down on the application because together we make too much to qualify. We do live together so idk what to do
