Hey moms,I took my daughter (16month) to the Dr. to get her flu shot. She brought up that I at her next appointment if she is not saying more words she is going to refer her to speech pathologist. Should I be concerned? She says;Hi, bye, Dada,Mom,No. She pretends to talk on the phone just talking in baby talk. I just don't want to rush to a specialist if not necessary

I wouldn't be concerned, but seeing a specialist doesn't harm anything. I think babies that age only day a handful of words, and his doctor was pleased he'd pretend to babble on a phone.

Will your Mom be in the delivery room? My mom made it sound like she was gonna be in the delivery room when I give birth, and quite frankly, I would just like it to be me and my fiancé. It's our first, and I want to share that special moment with just him. I don't want to hurt her feelings, and I know this is something she would really like to be a part of. So I feel bad telling her no.
