Hey guys, I wanted to hear some of your experiences having a C-section.. I desperately hope I don't need one, I will be devastated if I can't experience my last vaginal delivery, and I definitely couldn't handle a C-section while being awake! Just knowing that they're cutting me open, even if it doesn't hurt, I'll have a full blown panic attack for sure..

@abreton666 My C-section was a breeze. Once they give you that medicine your so relaxed you don't care what's happening. I didn't feel a thing and it felt like it went by so quickly. I wouldn't have been able to be put under. I wouldn't want to miss my babies first cry and getting to see her.

@skysmommy04 Ok, thanks for the info. You're the first person I talked to that's also 25 weeks along like me! You're very pretty b.t.dubbs.

You can opt to be put to sleep love I was awake in surprised I didn't have a panic attack but I do remember feeling like I was fading out I think I was freaking myself out without knowing it was super fast and honestly the pain was manageable without having meds all day but everyone's tolerance is different I walked a lot it helped with healing and so does pumping and bf! I thought it was a myth but it worked I only got one because sky was breeched and I was dilating quickly 😪 I still feel numb down there a year and a half later that's the only thing I hate I mean you get super gassy and it can be painful as well

I went 39.1 weeks and my water broke. We were in labor for 37 hours. Pictocin was at its highest, baby didn't turn properly even though she dropped. She sat for 8 hours in the birth canal. Eventually I asked how long I could possible push for before they decided medically it was time for a c-section. They told me 3 hours. Nope I was done... I never read any books on c-sections. No one ever talked to me about one. I was sure I was having a vaginal delivery.

I have decided I won't have a v-back when I have another child I'm going to go straight for the c-section.

I honestly was so tired and so high I didn't even realize how long the surgery was (1 hour)

The thing that made me feel better as I was signing my life away to major surgery was that the doctor looked at me and said: "nothing to be worried about. We prefer doing the surgery because we are in more control of your safety then natural delivery."
And as scary as that sounds, it's true. C-sections are such common surgeries now, it's like pulling a tooth! Plus when your in that situation, you're not thinking about yourself, only your baby.
