Even if your little ones are walking do you still out them in a little snow suit type thing for the winter? I had one for him last year but obviously he was a little baby then but this winter he'll be walking. I want to get him a coat but I was thinking maybe I'd get him a little suit too just cause winters in upstate NY are very cold. And I'd rather him be warm then cold in just a coat... What do you all think?

A coat would be nice for quick trips outside where putting on and off the suit would take longer than you’d use it. My son overheats easily so we’ll probably only use he bunting if we’ll be outside a long time, not just to and from the car. That will be a heavy sweater or a jacket that will come off before he’s buckled in.
It depends on how cold your son gets, or how much use you’d get out of both. Walking in it won’t be a problem, unless you can only find the sacklike ones. He waddled all over the apartment and got really mad that he couldn’t find his hands.

@nomli, I'm thinking of just getting him the bunting suit. I feel like he'll wear that most and not an actual coat? I just wonder with him walking by winter time if I should find a cheap coat too just incase?

@nomli, aw so cute!! I'm going to see if I can find them second hand too. He grows out of stuff to fast and they look brand new no one knows the difference lol and you get it for dirt cheap

Hahaha. I wanted to try and get waterproof rain pants, and then have him wear layers underneath for warmth, but his grandma got the snow pants. The bunting thing, too. She got them from a thrift store or secondhand place for really cheap.

@nomli, yeah it's not exactly a snow suit it's just a full body suit to keep them warm outside but not to play in the snow. That's what I'm looking for. But come to think of it I'll probably have to get him a snow suit too to play in... Ugh I need to win the lotto lol

His snow pants and bunting thing from last year still fit, oddly both still a little big, so he'll wear the pants if he decides to go out in the snow, the bunting if we'll be outdoors for long, like on a walk or to some outdoor thing.

@shellbell0391, yeah I know not to in his car seat. They have some that aren't to padded though like one I had last winter.

Yes cause he can play in the snow :)... don’t put him in the car seat in it but if you go to a winter festival or just wanna play in the snow I’d get one
