@rooster as chelli said, when breast feeding it is as long as they're hungry. You don't want to rush a feed, as the longer they feed the healthier they tend to be, they'll sleep longer and it helps your supply to increase. Both formula and breastfeeding have pros and cons in my opinion. With formula they get fuller quicker and it last longer, you'll also get more help since others can feed. Some cons are constipation that easily arises, finding the right formula as every formula just like everything else isn't made equal and the health benefits they miss out on if not breast fed. Breast feeding is great for bonding, their health, (for some) losing the pregnancy weight faster, your health as it can help with postpartum hormones ect just to name a few. Some cons are the time constraints, latching issues (if they have any), questioning yourself ( like over supply, are they full, ect.) Cluster feeding, but most issues can be helped by finding a local lactation group. Hope that helps

@ashleybradford92 thank you so much . ... how long it takes you to feed baby as soon as he wakes up ? Do you go on your breast for easy feeding. Or you do formula that is more heavy then breastfeed.

Congratulations on him coming home! I've breastfed, pumped and used formula so if you have any questions that I can try to help with just let me know.
