Fun fact: with my fourth son I didn’t even know I was pregnant until I felt a nice strong movements at 17 weeks 🙈 I could have been on that show lol
@gotmilk2018, well see from my last period you count and then you have how many weeks you are. My last period was February 28th. I know I felt something the other night it’s not a phantom.
How on earth do you know your 13 weeks and 5 days without any confirmed date ? I’m sorry but you either have the worse medical practitioners or your not pregnant and you may have convinced your body into a phantom pregnancy.
I do wish you all the best though.
I’d switch doctors then. You can advocate for your own health. Your doctor works for you. You are paying for their service so don’t be afraid to speak up. Tell her that you have symptoms and positive tests and would like a blood panel done to confirm or rule it out. And if the blood work doesn’t show a pregnancy, I’d take that information to my primary so they can help determine what’s happening.
@oddie, I told my ob I had two positives and she looked at me didn’t even examine me and told her I don’t look pregnant
You could tell them that, yes. Always explain every symptom to your doctor. They will do what they need to do to rule out or confirm a pregnancy. I’d also explain you had a positive test so would like a blood test also. The blood test will be able to tell them more.
@oddie, if I tell them I felt movement do you think they would believe me? It’s not showing up on a pregnancy test. The only time it showed up was when I was spotting
You could demand that they do a blood test. I’d switch doctors.
My doctor believed me. Once I felt a baby moving in there I remember thinking 🤔 wait a minute... was that what I think it was? I had been on the mini pill and was breastfeeding my third son so never got a period back. I bought a test, it was positive and when my doctor was able to measure fundal height so sent me in for a dating scan. The ultrasound showed the baby, and the gender lol and I was 17, almost 18 weeks.
@glencoco, I am gaining weight and I have many other symptoms that I told you I have no explanation for I don’t ever gain weight my metabolism is I don’t gain weight no mater how much I eat so
@glencoco, well since I would be 13 weeks and 5 days today, your levels normally level out at 12 weeks
Most pregnancy tests are positive with hcg ranges as low as 50-100, which most women have by 3-6 weeks. If you tested negative at that point then you’re most likely not pregnant. Certain factors can cause false positive pregnancy tests, but negative tests are usually correct unless you test too early or too late.
@roguemommyofjx3, at this point if they don’t believe me then they don’t believe me but I felt movements the other night and it wasn’t gas I had never felt anything like it
@roguemommyofjx3, I might do what most of these moms suggested go to the er and say I have bad abdominal pain and demand an ultrasound or say I think I might have PCOS and tell them to look and see
@glencoco, the urine is not picking up my pregnancy my levels could be to low. That doesn’t explain why I keep getting faint positives some days and negative on others
@roguemommyofjx3, they don’t believe me either they just do the urine test and it comes back negative and they say you’re not and same with the ob
Why wouldn’t they believe you? All you do is say “I’m pregnant. I’d like to schedule prenatal appointments.” At that point they would go over your medical history and do a pregnancy test. If it’s positive you’ll be scheduled for a dating scan, if it’s negative then you’re not pregnant.
@angelreaper171 go to another doctor office or plan parenthood. You do not want to go without prenatal care.
Did you get your blood work or an ultrasound done to confirm that you are pregnant?
Fun fact: with my fourth son I didn’t even know I was pregnant until I felt a nice strong movements at 17 weeks 🙈 I could have been on that show lol
That’s so cool since babies don’t usually start moving until 8 weeks and the uterus usually stays below the public bone until 12-13 weeks.
That’s the most exciting moment those first little flutters makes you feel so connected
That’s exciting I was 13 weeks when I felt it too and I cried girl lol
It's called quickening and it can happen at all different times especially depending on where a baby implants. And yes it's like tiny bubbles or butterfly kisses.
@raqueliiosiis, lol it made my night I was so happy I was giving up hope but that little rotation made me very hopeful
@angelreaper171, that’s so cool. Well it only gets more intense lol so enjoy it all. 😊
@raqueliiosiis, see after I had that feeling then I got a gas bubble that’s how I knew it was different. Also after it rotated I got horrible rib pain
@angelreaper171, I hope everything comes out good for you! When I was 12 weeks I felt Bubbles like if some was blowing bubbles inside me it was weird. Chucked it up as gas. Except he did it while I was getting an ultrasound also so I knew it was him moving.
@raqueliiosiis, I am looking for a doctor and see if they will do a blood test. But I swear I felt the baby I had never felt anything like that before
Not post related but did you make an appt for blood work so they can see if you’re pregnant? I was thinking about you today (not to sound like a weirdo).
I get flutter early too and it was the best feeling. Had to explain to everyone that I wasn’t crazy or just gassy thou lol. It wasn’t until the ultrasound and they saw him jumping my uterus that they believed me 🤣
Yayyyy congrats that’s so exciting and the next feeling!
@countrymusic_mama, it was like the baby rotated into another spot and then I felt the flutters in my ribs and then they started to hurt really bad. I wish it would happen again it was so amazing!
That's so exciting!! I remember thinking how weird it felt the first few times but it's so amazing!!
