Welp here i am with my 4 day old baby boy, extremely happy, extremely tired and very much in pain every now and then. 🌌👣💙🌙🌌
So I have a question... I am not breast feeding and just today I for the first time experienced my boobs being big and full of milk.. Thru out the pregnancy and the first 3 days my boobs where normal size with out milk... And idk what to do. Is there something besides pumping I can do? Or maybe for pain?
Ugh I'm so sorry! Peppermint essential oil is supposed to help reduce milk. You are caring for your baby and nurturing it and feeding it and it's a beautiful thing :) thank you for telling me, you didn't have to. I really appreciate your honesty :)
@ambermento well its a mixture of a couple of things, traumatic events in my life unfortunately that i rather not go into detail of and I have all my life had very sensitive nipples and my pain got beyond worse while pregnant. And right now i am in the worse pain I ever been in. My labor was easy and im recovering extremely well... But my breast and nipples are torture.
You're not breast feeding? I'm not sure what you'd do then. When I weaned my son I just kind of stopped slowly and it went away. Are they pretty firm and sore? You could always pump it and give it to him in a bottle. May I ask why you're not breastfeeding? No judgement here I'm just curious if you have any questions or are interested in what it's like let me know. Did you know when your child breast feeds your breast actually senses through his saliva what he needs and your body custom makes the breast milk for him every time. It's pretty incredible really
If you don't plan to continue breast feeding don't pump it will only stimulate your body to produce more milk. Wear a tight fitting bra often to dry up. Cabbage leaves on your breasts will help with the swelling and pain. Also some tylenol could help with pain as well. For any other advice I would ask your OB or whoever you were seeing during your pregnancy
