The following is an email that I sent in to a baby sleep site, but I was wondering if any mothers out there had any experience with sleep regression also. Any advice for me. Appreciate it. 💗😒🙁😔😢🚫😴
I need some major help for unfortunately I am at my nerves end. My toddler started her 18 month sleep regression about a month early. She is now 19 months old. Started with her waking up frequently where then she ended up in our bed. Then the sleep regression turned into bad sleeping habits to where she won't go to bed til 12:30-1am.
I have tried to limit her sleeping time at night and during naps, which makes her unbearably cranky. I also just read in your 5 steps book that that doesn't work and is counterintuitive, which makes a lot of sense. I just thought that if she was overly tired, she'd sleep. It worked only a few times.
I took out most of her toys from her room, and I still need to put up the smaller rail for her crib since she is now able to climb out.
It feels nearly impossible to get out of this root that was created and it seems that she'll never be on a normal sleeping schedule. What makes matters worse, I am 20 weeks pregnant and don't feel the best and/or tired.
Do you please have any suggestions for this tired, pregnant momma? Thank you.
