So my mom hasn't talked to me in over a year because of a fight her and my sister got into, that had absolutely nothing to do with me. I've even reached out to her to say like hey look I love you. Well anywhoooo, she has ignored every message I've sent, in fact, she blocked my number and she blocked me on facebook and she's never even met my son. She won't even acknowledge the fact that he was born. So, she got a puppy. A $3,000 golden retriever to be exact and all I see on social media (I'm friends with my stepdad/her husband on facebook) are pictures of this damn dog and all of my family fawning over it. SHE EVEN HAS A DAMN PACK AND PLAY FOR THE DOG. meanwhile, no one acknowledges that I have an actual child...their grandchild and great-grandchild. I'm trying SO hard to not let it bother my but wtf is wrong with these people!! Ugh. And on top of that, my dad has never met my son and still hasn't made any sort of effort to. He called me the other day to bitch about his step kids and their needs and then he proceeded to brag about having an extra $2k a week after all of his bills are paid. He said this right after I told him I had a rough end of 2016 and I'm in the process of paying off debt.

Right!! It frustrates me to no end! She had a nasty divorce with my dad in 2000 and I chose to live with my dad so she's admitted to holding a grudge against me for that. Cmon that was 17 years ago 😑 but whatever, it teaches me what NOT to do as a mother. @mamaash

Exactly! As much as I love dogs, idk how someone can put a pet before their own children. I wanna say they know they are a bad parent so they're overcompensating with something else. Still makes no sense. My boyfriends family is normal, too! So I'm glad my son will have one set of normal grandparents lol. @ginz

what the heck!!!! why in the world is your mom being i wanna say sooo immature. she should be ashamed of herself. you're her daughter... she should be trying her hardest to meet your son, her grandson. i don't know what happened before if you two weren't always close, but damn i would be so annoyed/angry/sad if my own mother acted like a damn kid

That sux. Makes you wonder who the child really is. 😕 I don't have the best relationship with my mom either... growing up, she's always loved her dogs more than me. I'm thankful my hubby's family is nothing like mine... they're normal.

Lmfao! Nooo I would've been even more mad if I had been the one that gave my mom the money! I just can not understand for the life of me how parents can act like that towards their children. Like grow the eff up and be a PARENT. I think I'm more confused at their behavior now that I have a child, because I couldn't even imagine. @kambam
