I had a membrane sweep on Wednesday 1/4/17 at my 39 weeks appointment. I lost my mucus plug over night.
Starting on Thursday 1/5/17 morning my contractions started becoming regular. They reached 2-4 minutes apart.
I then decided to take a shower.
After my shower they slowed to 7-10 minutes apart. I called the on call doctor and they told me not to come in until they picked up again. I went through the whole night having contractions and finally fell sleep at 2am.
When I woke up on Friday 1/6/17 at 8 my contractions were 5-6 minutes apart. We called my doctors and they told us to come in.
My cervix had not changed at was still at 1 cm at 12 noon. My doctor told me to go home and relax because that's when my contractions picked up more.
Tristian drove me to Medford in the truck because I had to get my paycheck from work. We then drove back to Grants Pass, stopped by Big Lots for a few things and ate some lunch at Asian Express. After that we went home, I put things away, and then I put conditioner in my hair because we all know a dry scalp is awful. I was letting it soak in so I covered my head and laid down on our bed.
As soon as I laid down my contractions picked up a lot! We timed them for 2 hours with my contractions being between 2-4 minutes apart and extremely painful. I had very sharp pains on my cervix and in my back.
Tristian rushed me into the shower to wash out the conditioner, went to warm up the truck, grabbed my parents, and came to get me out of the shower. He helped get me dressed and walk out the door.
We tried calling the on call doctors. TWICE. With no answer or call back, we just went straight up to labor and delivery at the hospital.
I had a cervical check done by the most gentle and caring nurse I've ever had! Christine, my nurse, delightfully told me I was 5 cm dilated and that I was to be emitted!!
I had horrible back labor and decided to get an epidural.
The epidural only worked on half of my body so I had to lay on my left side to evenly distribute the medication to that side.
A little after 6 am I was checked again and Tristian and I were told I was fully dilated!
I pushed through 5 contractions. At 7:12am on 1/7/17, my son was born!
He's rare because he was born INSIDE his amniotic sack. In otherwords, his amniotic sack did not rupture during birth. The doctor broke Tylan's amniotic sack right before Tristian handed him to me. I got pictures of it all too!!
I barely tore and only need 2 stitches.
His measurements:
6 lbs .06 oz (not even an oz)
18 1/4 inches long
13 inch head circumference
Oh! And Tylan has a birth mark on his left hand's middle finger 😍
Tristian has been the most amazing partner and father to Tylan.
I couldn't be more blessed to have a healthy pregnancy, delivery, and son! I'm beyond thankful!
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Starting TWW. Anyone else?
I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.
the amount of women who are clueless about their own anatomy is so sad and shocking. a lot of the women are older than me and have more children then I do 😳
now I understand that everyone has their own opinion on the topic and grown adults can do whatever they want with their bodies but to deny facts and make up false statements about your own anatomy when it comes to your unborn child is just so disappointing.
