My baby has been cluster feeding at night for the last 3 nights. She will want to eat every hour after 8pm or stay on my boob for two hours at a time. She seems hungry but i know she is getting colostrum every time ( my milk has not come in ). Throughout the day she can go up to 4 hrs without eating. Im so exhausted, idk what to do. I dont want to give up and formula feed but gosh is it tempting 😩. Anyone deal with this and have any tips?

@yesenia13, @concrete, thanks guys. Im gonna try to hold off on pumping until tomorrow (my boobs already hurt like hell today) but i definitely wont feel as guilty if i end up supplementing tonight. I really appreciate your insight 😊

@rmarte i agree with @yesenia13 that at this point pumping was a disaster with my baby. I couldn't even get an oz and it hurt like hell and frustrated me even more. i cried and was angry that I couldn't give my babies what they needed. I did a couple of times had my husband feed formula to both of my babies with a syringe. do it if you have to, but only after you offer her breast first so your body starts producing milk faster.

@yesenia13, @concrete, Thanks ladies, i try to feed her every couple of hours but sometimes she just wont take. She just sleeps in the daytime and i wake her up to feed but she gets so pissed off all she does is cry and cry 😩. Did either of you try pumping? I don't know if it'll work since i technically don't have actual milk yet but at this point i'll try anything

I think its normal, i went through the same exact thing; i would even cry cause i wouldnt sleep and all baby wanted was boobs, i was sore & tired. Anyways breastfeeeding is really hard at first but once milk comes in you will be fine, my baby is now 1 month & wakes up only one time at night . . . Stay strong, but if you feel that formula will do the trick once at night should not be a problem, i did it with my baby when she was a couple days old cause i never got a break. It didnt affect her! Do what ever you want & dont let nobody else tell you otherwise!! @rmarte, just know it does get easier!

i went through the same thing. twice. do not let her go 4 hrs without eating. feed her every 2 hours. that will help her adjust. your milk should come in soon. do not give up on breastfeeding. the more your baby sucks, the faster your milk will come in and you will have enough. @rmarte
