Okay I need some opinions here. What do y'all think is an acceptable amount to spend on a 3 year old for Christmas? We spent $150 on her Christmas and $100 on her birthday which is 4 days after Christmas. She's got 5 presents to open for Christmas PLUS a new bike & then she's got 2 gifts to open from us for her birthday party. My husband just called me from work & asked if I thought that was enough for her.. & I think that's PLENTY for one child. And he doesn't have full custody of her so she's not here 24/7 to play with all this stuff.

Take it easy mom , you don't want to overworked yourself. It's hard to be pregnant and harder I think to be pregnant with twins . So for this year just have some inexpensive gifts for her (small things) . Relax I'm sure you'll do great

@green_smilezz, I went all out last year and had tons of decorations and everything but I just really don't have the energy this year. I feel like a whale and am having a lot of swelling. I want her and the babies to remember more than just gifts!

@twinmommytobe223, exactly

You don't want that right. So it's better that you manage how to gift her because kids can hold grudges and then it becomes harder to try to explain them. I'm sure you will make the right choices. Make memories with her like taking her places for b-day and 1 or 2 small gifts. That's what I do for b-days and looking at pictures of the places they went always you'll see a smile on their faces

That's what I was thinking too. What if when the twins get here and she doesn't have as much as before, that she notices and holds a grudge against them. I don't want that :/ @green_smilezz,

I agree with @shellbell0391, . That's what I do with my girls even though they're older and they know the value of stuff . I buy 8/10 gifts for each one of them but they cost around $5 to $15 the most. I don't think kids need expensive stuff. Or you shouldn't go out of your budget in only one girl, you're soon gonna have another one and you don't want this girl to grow and see that she cannot get stuff anymore cuz brother/sister is here now. Just my opinion

We usually do around $100-200 depending on what we get them. If it's a bunch of small, we stick to around 100, if something is a bigger/higher quality thing, we might go close to 200.

We're strapped at this point with him being the only one working until the twins are here so i just get so frustrated when he asks if it's enough 😩 last year we spent $400 combined for her Christmas and Birthday and he still questioned if it was enough. The Christmas tree didn't even have anymore room to put stuff last year. @shellbell0391, @_stephanie.g, @green_smilezz,

I don't even think kids know anything about money. They're looking for quantity over quality lol.... at least that's how I was when I was a kid. I didn't know how much each thing cost and I didn't care I was just happy to see a lot of presents under the tree. Get her a bunch of $10 gifts and call it a day~

It depends, if you can afford it then that's a good amount

I think that's a good amount of $$ spent.. some parents like to spend more if they have the money for me for one child & for her age that's good.. @twinmommytobe223,

Does anyone know what this could be? I'm not sure if its just from her laying on her face, me kissing her all day or her dad thinks its from grease off his shirt from work😣 it doesn't seem to bother her idk if its an allergic reaction to something, I did give her a little infant tylenol but I had given it to her yesterday because she got her shots and her legs are still kind of sore and she's fussy so I didn't know if maybe that's why she's been fussy and she didn't get this on her face...any ideas?

Tell me if I'm wrong here.

Tell me if I'm wrong here. My husband's sil has covid. She's obviously quarantining in her house but is still loving on her kids and husband. I'm sorry but if I had it I would lock myself in a room. She hasn't gotten her kids tested... they're obviously doing the whole remote learning and quarantining for two weeks but she plans to send them back without testing them on the Monday after Thanksgiving 😬😱. My husband thinks I'm overreacting but I told him I don't want to see them on Christmas. I'm in the middle of iui cycles and don't want to risk this. Besides I don't think I could sit in a room with her knowing how irresponsible she has been not only with her family's health but those that are coming into contact with her and her family.

My 6 year old and I got our nails done today. She got her first manicure and they painted Olaf on her thumb! Some people have expressed that they think she's to young to be getting a manicure. I used the manicure as a bribe to get her to stop biting her nails and if it works...I'm going to keep taking her bi weekly when I go for a fill. I remember my parents not letting me get a manicure until I was in high school. Is it really so strange for a little girl to regularly get manicures?
