For my ladies with daughters who are half Latina...I know it's far ahead but do you plan on have a quince for you daughters? I want to but my husband is saying because she isn't 100% we shouldn't do it. I say yes because this is apart of who she is and we need to embrace both cultures equally

well I had mine one here and went to Cuba to do it with my other family. ... I will let my baby girl pick what she wants . the quinceañera or the sweet 16... ..

I'm full Hispanic but my family wanted to do a sweet 16 for me . they said a quince is for mexicans😒😒😒

hell yeah! even family members who daughters are half latina still either getting one or had one and I know plenty of other parent's whose daughter's aren't latina have beautiful sweet 15

See im Puerto Rican and most Puerto Rican's don't do it but we do it in my family...I didn't have one i just chose to take the money they were going to spend on it instead because I hated parties but all the other girls in my family had one I think it would be cool to give my daughter one @cubanese @hernandez @pookybear @michelle2220

my 10 year old wants one she knws the rules ..no makeup no boyfriend no short shorts ...im a very strick mom and if she had a bf or makeup i tood her she cnt have one soo she is excited bc we have took her to look at some dresses

my baby will be half mexican and i think we will give her a choice between a car or a quienciera thats what her grandparents did with their girls

heck yeah I'm doing one for both my girls. I have to. but it depends how strong you are in your Mexican pride. I'm only half Mexican so my girls are only a quarter
Locking your doors We are having a discussion on one of my birth boards from my older kids about locking doors and security alarms. There are many of us (me included) who do not lock our doors at home (I actually don't even have a deadbolt on my house and we don't lock it when we leave either), and others who think that's totally weird. So what do you do? Do you lock your doors? Do you think it's weird that people don't?
This is petty... But my MIL keeps saying she just "knows" my daughter will come on the 7th. I really hope she doesn't just because I don't need her taking credit for the rest of our lives. It's annoying enough that she is always saying she knew she was a girl before we found out, but didn't want to say anything because "it would ruin the surprise." This is my pregnancy. This is my daughter. We already don't get along, and this is making it a lot worse.

Transgender children So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are your thoughts on the matter? Do u think the parents are behind this? Idk because I haven't met the parents or children. I just think at 5 it's very young for children to really understand. What do u ladies think?
