When do I start buying all of baby's items? I'm 7wks 1 day now. I plan on telling the family (if we get a heartbeat on the ultrasound in a couple of weeks) at Christmas time which will be right at 13 weeks and 3 days (as of now going from last cycle). I just want he chances of miscarriage to drop! I don't want another miscarriage.
I'm trying to give myself enough time to get baby's stuff put together after the first trimester and to be prepared! Thanks Mommas!

Thanks ya'll!! I have my first ultrasound appt. on the 22nd in a week!! I'll be almost 9 weeks. Unless they tell me a different age.

I'd go ahead get some diapers, wipes, bouncy seat, baby carrier, play pin, baby wash, lotion, baby monitor, maybe some gender neutral clothes.

I waited until I knew the gender at 12 weeks via blood work. If your doing a babyshower I'd wait a little bit see what others will give you first. If your not going to have one then I'd wait until you knew the gender to buy clothes and such. Otherwise I'd start on the crib, and big ticket iteams first and plus diapers and wipes ect.

We bought gender neutral clothes and the basics (diapers, wipes, bath stuff) before we knew the gender but did everything else after.

I'm waiting till we know the gender of the baby then we are gonna get the main stuff and put it on layaway(can't spell). after the baby shower we plan on getting more.
