what are your thoughts on getting your tubes tied? the doctor asked about birth control and I said I wanted my tubes ties and she tried to talk me out of it. has anyone gotten their tubes tied?

if this next baby is a boy I want mine tied. my body doesn't do good with hormones and we did natural family planning after our first born and heard a earful from this one obgyn that did my pap exam. not planning on birth control after this baby either if it's a girl cause will try one more time for a boy. I think drs should listen to their patients if we don't want no more kids and want a permanent method then we should have it
My doctor is still trying to talk me out of it
@huntersmommy101, just do some research momma... i wanted mine tied but my husband decided to get a vasectomy... less side effects
this is my 3rd and last baby..at 37 yrs old i had my 1st son at age 16. my 2nd son when i was 24yrs old and planned this last 1 only.. so now my sons are 21 yrs old on sat and 13 yrs old..glad not to look old but..looking into tying my tubes hmmm I've been reading that they insert metal into your fallopian tubes wtf :/
