Ladies as you know I had the unsuccessful sweep yesterday 🙄 since then I've had what I can only describe as a bitty white discharge or could this be my plug? It doesn't resemble how I'd imagine my plug to look considering I've seen a few posted on here just puzzled to what it could be? No pain or anything so don't think it's an infection... Any ideas ?
i found the sweep very uncomfortable and pain full expecially when i had it at 38 weeks when she was able to do it . i had one at 37 weeks but my cervic was stil closed and high up .
Might u have thrush are u uncomfy or sore? That could cause that. Also u were messed about with down there. Can cause all sorts of thinga
@suzie80, I'm booked in for Friday for another try - midwife said hopefully I'll have gone naturally before then otherwise I'm being induced on the 12th 🙈 I'm just puzzled to why I've gone weird and bitty not had discharge like it before ?! X
Oh so she didn't do it then. I see. My cervix tends to be posterior too until late into labour. I always warn people that getting to it will be a chore. And yes it is painful trying to grab it or walk it around the babies head to do a sweep. Deep breathing and trying to relax can help. All you can do is hope labour starts on its own then I guess or another midwife is more able.
She couldn't get to my cervix it was too high and too painful trying to ! 😞 she had a good try but I had to say enough was enough ! @suzie80 @vickir29 @karenb1601 @sara87 - she did say baby is engaged and ready, I just need to walk, have sex and use my birthing ball! X
i had a sweep at 38 weeks n it took 2 days to start any thing i lost my plug on the second day which was jelly time then same day my waters broke that night i did get white creamy discharge after the sweep
@xkathrynlouise, the sweep may still work. it can take up to 48 hrs for anything to happen. thats why they do them 3 days apart. doesnt sound like yr plug though. it normally resembles snot streaked with blood x
@suzie80, nope all fine down there. I'll have a bath and a long soak see if that helps! and Thank you ladies for your advice @sara87 xx
