@beccaevans, take care of yourself before him right now. You need to heal. If you don't he will need to wait longer.

You still need to heal even without stitches. But if your concern is more lack of birth control, don't feel bad about not having sex until you're ready or want to. I'm sure you will be able to find a way to explain it to him and he'll understand.
