Question! So my midwife told me that breastfeeding IS a form of birth control for 6 months... That it suppresses the pregnancy hormone and raises oxytocin.. I'm pretty sure? Is that true?! I really don't want to go on birth control but don't want to get pregnant again for a few years
@ababy16, I don't blame you for wanting to choose birth control. I myself might be leaning that way.
@babygirl71716, that's what it says on planned parenthood! That if you don't have a period while breastfeeding you won't get pregnant.. And my midwife told me the same thing. I definitely don't want to chance it though. Thank you ladies for the responses!! Guess I'll be choosing the lesser of all evils of birth control 😩
I have seen so many people posting this....
you are 100?pable of getting pregnant AGAIN while breastfeeding. just like are 100% capable of getting pregnant an hour after giving birth.
it may sound crazy and unrealistic, but it's just the way women work.
my bff had her daughter almost 5 months ago, and she is 4 months pregnant. ONLY breastfeeds.
I think it could be different for every woman. I breastfed my first for 3 years and didn't get pregnant. we used NO birth control or condoms. I got pregnant about a month or 2 AFTER I stopped nursing. it made my period irregular or nonexistent. after my son it took me about 10 year to get regular again lol. only because I got the depo and breastfed my son.
No you'll get pregnant so quick after you have baby that's our most fertile time. Already happened to two of my friends
Lol idk why she'd tell you that..... you can DEF still get prego while breastfeeding.
Yeeeeeeah you can definitely get pregnant while breastfeeding. While it can stop your cycles it is in no way a reliable form of birth control.
so false! you are 10x more likely to become pregnant while breastfeeding then anything
