What birth controls have worked flawlessly for you?... I don't want anymore kids after my daughter but I don't want to tie my tubes and I am not going to become a born again virgin so I want your best recommendations ladies! Thanks in advance :)
I loved my Merena I know a friend who got the IUD without the hormones in it and she still had her periods and gained weight. The Merena has hormones in it so I never gained any weight or had any periods at all. I know there have been studies saying not having your period for a long period of time can have some effect on you bones. So I would check that out but I never had a problem. I breastfed it was lovely. The procedure it self was a little worse than a papsmear which always hurt to me because I've only ever had cesareans. But I have had friends who have had vaginal births say they did just fine. It hurt to me and I had some bleeding but never noticed it was there after I was placed. Sorry this is so long just trying to give you all the information I have. Also I know nurse who got pregnant with it in due to where it was placed.
@ready4mommydaughtermoments, ohhhhh I c. Whoops didn't know that. 😐 I don't know what the heck u can use while breast feeding.
@kandice_stedman86, my OB told me that wasn't an option while breastfeeding either. I believe it's because it dries up your milk.
I loved the Nuva ring!!! It was no side affects and I would skip my period by replacing every 3 weeks. U can take it out to have sex if it bothers ur partner.
@arachelle, I can't wait to ask my doc for more info on it!... I think I have googled a million ways prevent pregnancy after baby but there is nothing like real reviews. Ones I know aren't fabricated.
I didn't have any periods and no pain with orgasms. My husband did complain about feeling the string a couple times so I went and got it clipped.
@ready4mommydaughtermoments, 5 years and no side effects at all. Got it taken out when we planned our oldest daughter then I had to get a depo shot after her birth and didn't get anything after it ran out and now we're here. lol
Hmm didn't know that cause I'd prolly asked about getting back on it after I have mine
@mrstaylor, that was my 1st choice because I used it before and LOVED it but my OB said I can't use that while breastfeeding :(
I used the patch you can stick it on your butt cheeks and it works fine change every week then take off one week and have period
@mamabear9456, I think this one sounds ideal! Not perfect but it's more along the lines of what I'm looking for. I'll get more info from my OB. Thank you!
@daedaee93, that's like the nexplanon that autumnsmom mentioned. Do you know what differences they have other than name?
Supposedly some people don't get periods at all mine were light spotting maybe 3 days tops
It's not that bad just slight cramping and I'm talking major orgasm like squirting Tylenol before hand will always fix that
@mamabear9456, shorter periods???!!! I'm almost sold until I get to painful orgasms. I know they all have their ups and downs. I guess I just have to figure out which side effects I'm willing to deal with.
@autumnsmomma125, doesn't sound like the horror stories I've read lol... I so wish I could shorten my periods though.
Implanon is good it's a little match stick that goes into arm doesn't bruise up your arm last 3years
I didn't have side effects, shorter periods that's about it, I used it for 3 years and got pregnant after 3 months of having it out
Mirena only downside is orgasms hurt and if he goes too deep it hurts
When I googled it before I got it it made me really scared to get it because it looked so painful but it honestly wasn't that bad and of course they numb you.
I liked it because once it's in it can last up to 3 years and you don't have to worry about remembering to take anything or have to "update it" for the 3 years.
Just irregular periods. That's the main thing that bothered me. I was bruised for a little bit after getting it but nothing too terrible and it healed pretty quick. And getting it out I bruised some but not as bad and it also healed pretty fast.
@arachelle, how long did you use it? And what kind of side effects did you experience?
I saw a post about that online. A lady's arm looked horrible, it was all bruised and swollen... I googled more issues and saw some women with green bruised arms, some had piss oozing from them... What were the side effects you experienced? @autumnsmomma125
Yea. It kinda sucks going in and coming out... But it worked really well. I wasn't thrilled with some of the side effects though.
Is that the thing they put in your arm? @autumnsmomma125
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
TWW!!
2dpo and on the tww journey. Anyone on the same dpo or close? Haven't decided if I will test at 12dpo or just wait and see if she shows up!!

I will be 41 :/
Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
@atachelle, I've only had C sections as well. I'm prepared for the pain if I go through with this option now that I know about it. I'd rather have the one that causes no weight gain and less periods.
