@ftm-jess, no you don't need stitches! they wrap up your arm after, you might have a hole there, but it'll close. I saw my friends :)

@ftm-jess, my friend had the mirena and it took them an hour to find it because it got lost 😭

@ftm-jess, i had it for 2 months , and im not sure, its pretty scary tho, a friend of my moms had the same problem and when her baby was born, the mirena was on her babys face, it left the shape of the mirena on the babys forehead. so im definately scared when it comes down to it

wow that's insane! how long did you have it until you got pregnant? won't it be in the way during labor?

@ftm-jess, yeah, i have to get an xray after the baby is born so they can see if they can find the mirena anywhere in me

The patch made me regular. Before my period was all over the place and yes you just put it on wherever you want. But it does have a lot of hormones. That's what my doctor told me so it made me a little emotional

@gabrielle_d, I may be able to keep track of taking it if I have my alarm set for it,lol. we would definitely wait till he turns 3 or 4 years old.

Lol yeah that's what I thought too. I just had a reminder set every night I took it. I've missed it though before 😕 I just think the pills the easiest to get off of and get preggo @ftm-jess

@gabrielle_d, I'd be scared I'd forget to take it,I think as of now the implant sounds like the best option for me

I just used the pill for about four years before getting off it. I never had problems like weight gain or anything. I might go back to that after the babies born. My friend had the shot and it made her emotions psycho! Lol then she tried getting off it to try for a baby but couldn't get her period back for months.

yeah it's pretty much like a bandaid , you switch it every week on the same day and after the third you take a break . but since you don't want babies back to back I don't know how much you can trust the patch

@ftm-jess, I haven't gotten on it yet, but I have friends who are! For some people. it takes a couple months for your cycle to be normal, but a friend of mine says it made her cycles regular. She use to have irregular cycles that lasted a long time and this was the only BC that helped her! :)

you have to get it replaced every 3 years. they numb you when they insert it and take it out.

I'm on the patch , only been on it for 3 days so i don't know if it causes all that but mostly all BCs do it

I have the depo shot its for 3months I haven't gained weight but I do have alot of hair loss and headaches here and there

a lot of the birth controls have those side effects, it doesn't mean you'll get them though. I plan on getting the nexplanon, implant in my arm

I think that is the iud , my doctor recommended that. I read that some woman had the same issue and I was like hell no!!
