so i just found out today that my baby is finally covered by medicaid, but his 1 month checkup is tomorrow and i dont have an insurance card or anything to show for it. did anybody else not have their babies insurance card for their 1 month or will i have to pay out of pocket until i get the card?

Call the insurance ask for your childs ID number and you can use that. Or the doctors office can look up your child's name. I had my daughter's ID number written down but her doctor's office didn't care said to just wait until I recieved her card which wasn't until she was 2.5 months.

I didn't have it for his 2 week or one month checkup. I was able to tell them which insurance I was planning to get and they didn't make me pay. I just had to call back when I got the insurance card to give them all the info
