Can you breastfeed and use formula or does it have to be exclusively one or the other?

or tell them you will be exclusively breastfeeding for one month if you need them to give you a pump

I was supplementing before I decided to stop the stress of breastfeeding.

@tm21308, yeah I was curious about my options since WIC won't give me a pump unless I exclusively breast feed for 1 month

So it's ok if I work 9 hrs and my baby has formula for 10 hrs of the day and I breastfeed the other 14 hrs

@angelfish, you can do both just know that your milk supply might be low when you do both... your body produces what the baby needs
