so I have to rant. the day I gave birth to my son my in laws were there. I had previously said that I only want my mom and husband in the room with me... well when the time comes everyone left the room BUT somehow my mother in law stayed and I was in so much pain I didn't even care... so during the pushing process my husband decides to get his phone out and text his family that lives 5 hours away and tell them how I'm doing. that really pissed my mom off cause she thought it was disrespectful! so she firmly says "put that phone up, she's in pain trying to have your baby"! then his mother chimes in with "don't talk to my son that way"! and then the nurses sent everyone out of the room... the day after my son was born my mother in law messaged me going off about how horrible my mother is and how much shit she had to put up with in the hospital... I ignored her cause I didn't want the drama at the time. then I found out that she messaged my mom and called her a bitch, and said that she ruined our special day and that she was a bad mother to me, and also that she would call the law on my mom if she ever had my son in the car with her...so yes I went off on her! am I wrong?

Girl I'm goin through the same thing with my fiancés mom. I only had my mom and him in the room and my mom made sure me and my son was ok since I had a complicated labor and delivery and she left for the hour so we could bond. The whole time I was in labor he stayed on his phone and he even left while I was asleep after I was given my epidural to go get food knowing I couldn't and then ate it in front of me. I was in labor from 1am to 5pm that day and my mom went off and his mom got mad about it after she said something while he was on the phone with his mom talking about how we were doin. She also called the room multiple times and called his phone and mine and begged to be in the room and even asked the doctors and nurses to let her in. So be sure to nip whatever you can in the butt with her cuz it's only getting worse for me cuz she is thinking he's the one that laid in the hospital bed for 16 hours and lost a lot of blood and oxygen dropped along with my son having his first BM, his oxygen dropping, and his umbilical cord wrapped around his neck 3 times. After I even had my son my fiancé left the hospital all together and then he came back and was mad about everyone being there because he couldn't hold his son and my mom said something to him again about the way he was acting and of course his mom goes and says something. I have a feeling one day imma end up going off on his mom it's just a matter of what she decides to do next.
I would have went off when she sent the text saying your mom is horrible. I don't deal with that kinda shit

FUCK THAT! Your not wrong at all you should stick up for your mother ! She doesn't have any room to talk seeing how she's reacting to the situation that didn't even have to be a situation in the first place
I'd tell her to mind her own business and to be grateful she was in the room at all because she wasn't invited. And that if she taught her son manners about paying attention to his child being born instead of his phone your mom wouldn't have had to put him in his place. And then tell her that your mom is the grandmother too and she can and will have your baby whenever and wherever she wants.
