Hi ladies I have a question. my child's father knows how important it is to me to breast feed my boy. He says he will take me to court and demand that they make me pump and send milk with him so he can bottle feed over nights. Well that's not my plan. I was hoping to exclusively breast feed for a few months while I go to school for fall semester. Then maybe when he's a little older I am willing to start the bottle feeding. fingers crossed. Are the courts able to require me to bottle feed and/or feed my child formula. I don't want to feed my son formula if I am able to breast feed.
they can't "make you do whatever they want you to do". and they cannot make you pump. if they ask you if it's an option tell them "no, I do not respond well to a pump so I cannot get any milk out to store" they won't argue or try and make you give him formula. breastfeeding is one of the most basic human rights that CANNOT be taken from you for any reason.
I feel the same way. like why would they tell me to not breast feed my baby
I don't think they can legally require you to do that. I mean if I were in that situation, I would read up on it as much as possible but personally I think that sounds idiotic. You're the mother of that baby and as long as you're not neglecting you child, the courts will be happy.
I feel the same way but I'm afraid that may not be the case
