Okay my opinion on both cases of police brutality. neither was called for. I have watched the videos. in the sterling case, he was doing no wrong what so ever selling his CDs. he had permission from the store owner. no ID was taken from him so how could they have known he had a criminal past? They used unnecessary force (six shots fired). they were tazing him as he was already on the ground and detained. they had no right to use such force. in the castile case, he was fully complying with the officer. he should not have been shot. he alerted the officer he had a carry permit. he told him where the gun was. officer asked for his ID and registration, then when he reached he shot. that could have been handled differently. the officer could have told him to stop he could have seized the gun first before he continued to ask the man for his ID and registration. neither of the 3 officers should be on paid administrative leave. none of them. all 3 killed innocent men. yes it is a shame that they happened to be of African American race. I do believe some, SOME NOT ALL, cops are corrupt. unfortunately I live in a very racist town. every black family that has ever lived here has been run off. it is a very sad thing. we have corrupt cops. I have watched personally one of our officers beat a man in his front yard with his buddies while the man had his 3 kids getting them ready for bed because the officer was sleeping with the man's wife so she didn't go to jail for heroine charges. there was an incident a few years back where officers ran a friend of mines brother off the road killing him all because they didn't like the family (dash cams suddenly malfunctioned so nothing was recorded there was no evidence) a very dear friend of mine was murdered at age 16 by a girl I went to high school with because he told her he didn't like the company she was around she was drunk and shooting up in the front seat. she is still walking around free even after she confessed to the police and entire hospital staff she hit him on purpose. like I said this town is sickeningly racist so all of these people were white but yes police are corrupt more often than not but not all are. my father is a retired sheriff. police run things...differently now. it's sad seeing all the lives lost yes, but statistics show most cases of death caused by a police officer in the line if duty occur to white individuals. we never hear about them though unless it's already been made some huge story. now I'm not telling anyone at all not to be scared because I don't know your area I don't know your officers. but ALL LIVES MATTER at the end of the day we all bleed red. Those officers being shot and killed May be completely innocent. they may be the ones who really do want to protect and serve and aren't corrupt. we don't know though Just like they don't know someone's history or intent when walking up to them. until there is a reason given we should respect that individuals life, cop or civilian. all lives matter, black, Hispanic, white, you name it it matters. all the violence towards each other has got to stop. we are raising the next generation. teach them not to hate but to love one another. no matter of a badge or skin color or background. we can teach them what's genuinely right and not teach them to grow up prejudiced because we are biased. let's stop the hate and the violence.
