Has anyone ever dealt with a baby trying to teethe at an extremely young age? Deacon is just barely over 6 weeks old and is showing signs and has bumps on his gums where is top two teeth would be. He bites down so hard on everything in his mouth but then will cry about it, has been eating weird, grunts or cries when he's eating, drooling, coughing more and gaging some, he's been super irritable and chews on his hands even if he's not hungry. I know it's super rare for them to try to get teeth this young but I was just hoping someone had experienced the same thing and could give me some ideas on how to soothe him and give him some relief. He's really not big enough for teething toys or anything yet. He goes back to the doctor this month so I'm going to talk to her about it too.

My now 7 year old cute 2 teeth the day he turned 2 months old. I freaked out. The doctor said it was normal and not to worry and that some babies are even born with teeth. I will also add that since he got them early, he lost them early and now has a mouth full of permanent teeth.
Babies can start the process very young. Teeth usually take awhile to actually pop through. My daughter started teething about 2&1/2 months and finally got them through at 5&1/2 months. Unfortunately there isn't much you can do when they are that young but give them a cold washcloth, orajel, or the teething tablets.
I use Hyland teething tabs they work wonders for my daughter or the teething toys in the refrigerator
@sarahdrew, maybe it'll be the same for my son! Who knows, I just know it hurts him when he bites down on things :/ I hate it for him
she started chewing and drooling too, and her bottom teeth didn't come thru til about 6 months
@sarahdrew, Did she have all the symptoms as well? Or just the bumps?
my daughter had had bumps on her top gums since she was 2 months old and her top teeth just now started coming thru (9 months tomorrow) but yes they can start the process of chewing and drooling early
Yes I will. I ordered this teething toy so we will see if he likes it. I do use the wet washcloth

I'm in the same boat. My son is 9 weeks and experiencing the same things. I'm thinking he's too young to be teething but it seems as if he is. I'll ask his doctor on Friday.
My son had his front 4 by 4 months and was eating pizza by 10months. Full mouth full. 1 in 200 babies( I think it is) is born with teeth
Wish I could take a full body pic but his Doctor want me to keep him swallowed because his temperature has been really low which has kept me an my baby away from each other all day 😢😟 I haven't got a chance to be with him at all do to it she's been keeping him to keep a close eye on him. okay, so my little guy is breast fed, but we try to give him a bottle of breast milk atleast once every three days. his doctor said 2 1/2 ounces for him is good, but i knew that was too little... i’ve been giving him about 5 1/2 ounces & he wants to eat again 30 minutes later. what gives??
My son is 14 months tomorrow and we can hardly get him to eat solid foods on his own. We want to wean him off formula by 18 months and have been trying to get him to snack on small finger foods and he mainly just plays with it or throws it off his tray. Sometimes he will eat it if we give it to him but most of the time he shakes his head no. Any ideas or tips on how to get him more interested in eating? He will eat yogurt bites and cherrios on his own but that's about it.
So when he gets kinda fussy I'll give him his pacifier to calm him, well he has a love/hate relationship with it and if he's really mad and I give it to him he will purposely gag himself with it! He's such a character.

Kai has basically outgrown his moses basket so I was looking to get a crib until he's 6months and can go in his own room, some work colleagues have told my partner if he's outgrown the moses basket he might aswell be in his own room and to just get one of those sensors to put under his cot, I feel like he's too little to be in his own room though 🤔
