I took Motrin when the pains were bad. But she could probably take Tylenol as well

Midol. my little sister gets flow blown sick (vomit) right before her period starts. Bananas help with cramps and bloating as well

My period pain is like labor from what I have been told, I had prescription ibuprofen, but before I had 3 200mg of advil and orange juice once the throwing up stopped if I didn't catch it in time! But before it starts, and I kept it going every 4 hrs. For her I would suggest 3 still depending on pain scale back, and watch her to see how she acts being its her first time.

I always took ibuprofen or extra strength Tylenol. Laying with a heating pad helps a lot too! I've been concerned with this with my bfs daughter who is turning 9 in a couple months and her mother hasn't talked to her about puberty yet. And I'm just like god I hope when she gets it she's not with us!! It'd be so awkward for us to explain it to her. I'm not mom so it's not my place, and can you imagine your father trying to explain that to you?! Lol

lol. yeah. my daughter doesn't want anyone to know. just me. not her father, not her grandmother, nobody. but if you have to help her you will do I great job I'm sure! @missjess
